Eat like a King...Train like a God.

I'd like to offer you a little tale for motivation.

My closest friend is a single mother of three, a widow at 38 years.
She works tirelessly at a full-time job to provide for her children, ages 3, 7 and 10, while still managing, at the beggining and end of every day, to set aside time to bond with each of them.

With all this spilling over her plate, she still trains with me every day! This year she went from a size 14 to a size 10, and she gained 3 kilos.

She dropped fat, gained a little muscle and is now in incredible shape.

We only truly know the experience of our own lives, and it can be hard at first to make a significant change to your lifestyle....but picture this:

This day, as with every other, is all about the calories that are put in, not that are left out.

Our bodies are some of the most incredible and complex organisms to have evolved on this planet, and in the grand scheme of things, they're still pretty low maintenance!

Proteins, Carbs, Fats and Water. It's simple.

Diets are for the apathetic.

Unless you happen to be engaged in one of the many professions with minimal breaks and a ruthless work ethic....Doctors, Nurses, Care Workers....low level minions of financial conglomerates...then you have the time to exercise and eat properly.
Exercise creates energy. It's like charging a battery.

3 times a week. Try it for 2 weeks...you've got nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Very true very true. On my work days I am up at 0500 and home from work at about 1945, then I work out from 2000 to 2200 (although I am single and don't have the worries that a lot of people have so in that regard I'm lucky). I may feel tired, worn out and disgusting from work, but I've come to really enjoy my work outs and food as well, very slowly removing processed foods and going back to how I used to eat. It's always nice to read a story like that of your friend, this is what sets people apart-there are those who whine and make excuses and those who just do it.

    *like*

I always find that if I just stay at my maintenance calorie and nutrition goals, I still feel unhealthy and sloth-like. I feel better if I exercise at least 30-45 minutes a day, even if I've been eating fast food every day (although that usually leaves me longing for something with better nutrients by the end of the day).
