Exercises for rear

So my butt has what I call a "shelf" along the top part of my butt and hips... and I can tell the lower part of my rear is getting smaller and (yay!) tighter... but the top shelf just doesn't seem to be shrinking. Probably haven't given it enough time and I know fat loss will make it smaller (Been doing 30ds, lots of eliptical, incline walking, weight machines) but I was wondering if anyone had a super fantastic exercise that would target that area?

The biggest difference is going to made my weight/fat loss. But as far as exercises - squats and lunges! Squats, squats, squats! Forward lunges, back lunges - side lunges (those are my favorite!)0

Yes, squats are awesome. Lunges, dead lifts, and glute busters (rest your upper body on an ottoman/weight bench/or just lay on the floor and put a weight on your pelvis and...thrust up slowly and hold tight for a few seconds.)! Yes, a little kinky but it does the trick.0
