Ready to do this!

Hi, I am excited to be here! I joined this site a few months ago and I am ready to get going. I have been going to the gym lately, but not really counting calories because I get so HUNGRY when I am first working out. But now I am ready to get serious about calories AND working out.
I used to be very fit, I even worked out when I was pregnant and was back in my old clothes within a month of having a baby. But when my youngest was about 2-3 we started noticing things were not developing correctly and I really lost myself for a while. I have gained 50 pounds in the last 3 years. Those 50 lbs are all the result of emotional eating.
I tried over and over to get motivated to lose this weight but I couldn't. I was so consumed with worry and guilt that I was not able to get myself together. But this year, for some odd reason, after everything fell apart. My kids were driving me mad, my marriage almost fell apart and I decided to go back to school, everything just made a turn for the better. All of a sudden my son is doing great, my marriage has never been better and I am just a happier person.
I think in part my happiness is a result of my exercising again. This is just the beginning and I am ready ready ready to do this!
