Hello I am trying to loose 100 pounds and I'm going slow and steady. It's about to be 5 months in about 2 weeks and I'm down 30lbs of fat. I'm excited to see the weight slowly chisel off! I'm doing this alone as no one around me wants to try to get healthier. They think it's hard but I found simple ways to stay on track. It's super easy now it's all matter of showing up and being present everyday.

Congratulations! I'm in a similar situation but I'm just starting out. Would you mind sharing the simple ways to stay on track?

    Congratulations: That is absolutely wonderful!

Frankly, I wouldn't call losing 6 pounds a month "slow", but it's a good rate to follow, more likely to be sustainable all the way to goal vs. some of the crash diets people undertake. Good show!

Cheering for your continuing success - and I'd bet on it happening, since you've done so well for so long already!

annie_1230 thank you very much. First off I wish you luck on your new forever. I found that the best way to stay on track is not to over do it. When I say that I mean don't go to the gym and workout for 3 hours. Try 45 minutes 4-5 times a week. Find fun ways to break a sweat, if one day you really don't feel like going to the gym throw on a pair of headphone and go for a 30 minute walk listen to an audio book it's about keeping yourself moving even if its not super intense. Don't eat lettuce every day or chicken and rice, eat more variety and flavorful. Set your calories goal a little lower than your preference so if you pass it up your still in a deficit. Add foods that are low in calories but big on mass to keep you full like watermelon, chicken, potatoes, low calorie yogurt etc. Let yourself have an ice cream bar one time a week or a fast food meal 2 times a month this is a new lifestyle not a diet you must learn moderation and self control. Lastly, the best way to stay on track is If you mess up one day out of many of being good, don't be hard on yourself, one bad snack or one bad meal won't ruin everything.

Hello once again Im updating my post to keep myself accountable, I have lost another 18lbs bringing my grand total to 48 lbs. Although it has been one full year since my last post I have managed to not only continue to loose weight but not put any back on. I'm really excited because I have not been able to do that before. I have stopped yoyo diets and started a new lifestyle and loving myself and not letting the little set backs get me down is super helpful. The weight loss rate has slowed down but I'm happy to say it's permanent weight loss not yoyo diet weight loss. If you've stopped seeing results don't give up keep going I promise you'll get to your goal. I am getting back on my feet and starting from here with a little more push please if you've stopped or given up get up and keep moving forward reassess your lifestyle and try try again. You can do it!
