What wellness type things do you do?

I never really know what self care should look like. I am interested to focus on my health and wellness and would love to hear what others do to help with feeling better and better health.
I take vitamins (when I remember)
I walk every day
Take bubble baths!
Anyone suggest anything else? Or what do you enjoy doing?

I do yoga every Morning. I am also looking for more wellness ideas1

Some of this is more mental wellness, but I wholeheartedly believe they all work together to make me a happier human.
- I walk outside every single day. It's sometimes a challenge in northern Illinois, but I miss it if I don't walk. I also like to hike and camp; experiencing nature is so fulfilling to me.
- I always wear sunscreen. (I was a teenager in the 80s--I baked myself in oil! So this was a tougher habit to adopt.)
- I am much better at flossing than I used to be.
- Since starting back on MFP last November, I've paid close attention to my nutrition data and have actively researched and added foods that round out the gaps.
- I added a multivitamin to round things out, and also biotin, which seems to have improved my hair, skin, and nails.
- I check my sleep data (from my Fitbit) regularly. I aim for 8 hours and am giddy if I get an "Excellent."
- I don't know if this counts as wellness--I downsized out of a house a couple of years ago. I got a small apartment on the 14th floor with a big balcony and a great view in a building I've always wanted to live in. I got rid of a lot of stuff/junk, set up workable systems to keep everything tidy, and sometimes I just sit on my couch and think, "I love this."
- I read a lot. With tea and a soft blanket. And my cats purring next to me. I think reading is like meditation since you have to focus on something other than your own thoughts.
- I say no if I don't want to do stuff. Zero guilt, less stress.
I used to do yoga and don't know why I don't do it regularly now, because it feels so good. I'm thinking about joining a class.

Being outside…on the deck with a cup of coffee, hiking or just doing yard work.4

30 minutes of any type of cardio, at least 3 times of resistance training a week, moisturize you skin daily, find an hour a day to just relax, 6-8 hours of total sleep a day.

I prepare several days of red velvet pancakes in advance. In the morning I “treat” myself to a serving with homemade cream cheese and caramel or chocolate syrup, rolled up and (laugh all you want) eaten with my fingers like Little Debbie’s Swiss Rolls. They were one of my preferred breakfasts of choice and I’d demolish a box in a sitting. Eating my pancakes with my fingers just makes me happy.
I learned to like and savor coffee.
Sweet chai tea with loads of froth.
Making time for needlework.
Walking the dog around our pretty town. My dog is a needy, annoying, anxious barkomatic ball of insanity, and I have to keep up a constant hum of nonsense talk to keep him calm. We have long soothing conversations about nothing at all, and his favorite walks are when I say “you choose!” He knows that means we can go wherever he wants, and he relishes it. Just running my mouth to him is relaxing. He doesn’t critique. He’s happy with every. single. word.
Chasing squirrels in “The Square”. Never fails to make me laugh, he loves it, and it amuses bystanders to see us running to and fro from tree to bench to gazebo to tree, especially when he tries to climb a tree.
Aquafit with my husband several times a week. He’s a totally different person in the water and it makes my heart sing to see him so un-self conscious and clowning with everyone. Just being in a pool has been a treat anyway, since childhood.
Riding my bike to the gym or grocery store. I hadn’t ridden a bike in donkey’s years and find my cheeks stretched out from the constant grin plastered to my face. Just enjoy the short rides, ringing the little bell, waving at my local trainspotter. Hate spin class, but love outdoors bikes.
Yoga. I love vigorous flow classes because I totally lose myself in them. No time -or need- to think about anything else.
Finishing up my day with two meringues and some “International Househunters” to wind down.
Kitty pet-pets and snuggles (I could lose the shedding, though).

I think self-care is so important. When I'm stressed, it becomes even more so.
For me, I take inspirational quotes, memes, etc. plus my daily schedule and construct everything in a way that I can record it all, and play it back twice daily.
I usually listen to the same music every day too. Listening to the same songs rarely gets old, because the songs are positive and I well identify with them.
I'm beginning to walk and lift dumbbells. But, I also meditate too.
I try and balance all of this stuff, as taking care of myself can be challenging.3 -
Alarms to wake up in the morning (even on weekend, just a little later than during the week) AND alarms to tell me to GO TO BED. I average an hour more sleep per night when I don't ignore the time and stay up late watching TV or reading.
Daily exercise of some form.
I avoid all social media (except MFP). Just too much negativity all over the place, too much judgment.
Track my calories every day, making sure to leave room for a daily dessert. Even if just 100 calories to indulge in a miniature candy bar.
Devote time to giving scratches to my dog.
Each day, talk for at least 10 minutes on the phone with a friend/relative who's not local.
Attend weekly religious service, usually as a member of my church choir (which includes a weekly rehearsal on a different night).3 -
Every night I walk the dog . It’s as much for him as it is for me . Just being in the quiet after being with littles all day is much needed!
I recently started taking epsom salt baths .
I go hiking every two weeks with a friend, sans kids!
Mud masks
I started pelvic floor Physio therapy a few months ago, it’s a monthly appointment.
Taking fifteen minutes to slow down and eat during the day ! I actually struggle to stop moving.
Organic foods as much as possible, limiting dairy and sugar and gluten because I know my body feels better.2 -
I take a walk daily resistance train and turned off the news.0

- short walk mid day (most days) when most people are taking their lunch (I just eat at my desk)
- Active recreation...bike riding, mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, skiing, etc
- Get outside and enjoy nature
- Good food (good nutrition, good quality)
- Cooking (it's my only art)
- No alcohol
- Make downtime (watch t.v., lounge poolside, hot tub, pool float, etc)
- Play with my kids (basketball, kick the soccer ball, throw the football, etc)
- Read every night
- 7-8 hrs good quality sleep
- monthly massage

I try to eat a reasonably healthy diet plus vitamins.
Sleep -- never enough!1 -
Mani/pedicures, full body massage, chill playing my guitar, have quiet time (meaning no tv, phone, etc.) just for at least half an hour and reflect on what I did, what I will do and future plans, cleaning my house (calms me and makes me feel total sense of accomplishment).

I’ve been working on eating a nutrient dense diet, meditation, de stressing.. enough sleep and my biggest wellness challenge I am working on is setting limits on cell phone usage esp before bed.1

I keep a journal of my daily routine.
Every day, I start my journal by recapping what I did the night before after I finished the previous journal then write about what I did that morning and then plan out my day (chores, shopping lists, etc). I also use it to work through whatever problems I'm having mentally/emotionally.
I've only missed a handful of days since I started it in February 2017 and feel lost until I get my journal started for the day.1 -

Exercise for health, fitness and stress reduction
Enjoy time with family
Take care of everyday things for good health (oral care, skin care, etc.)
Have an optimistic outlook on everything even in the worse situations

Skincare, taking care of my nails, journaling, spending time with family, drinking 80 oz of water a day0

I’m a big believer of in that it’s not just one thing but many that increases your chances of success and happiness.
I love to
Spend as much time as I can in the sun
Take time to do beauty treatments manis pedis face masks etc
I’ve invested in a vibration platform which I use everyday
I take a lot of vitamins and supplements which have made a massive difference to my health
I eat food that pleases me and doesn’t upset my body
Take time to relax every day
I have a sauna blanket which I use everyday
Make the time to stop and talk to strangers and SMILE 😊4 -
I walk outside and enjoy nature, I read the Bible, I work on things out in the garage (dirtbikes, cars, etc.)2

Regular exercise is part of my self care. Some kinds have more impact than others. For me, pretty much anything outside is better than anything inside (except for yoga.) I'm looking forward to the cooler weather, which means more trail time and a new gardening project. I get out there all winter long.2 -
Sleep is a priority for me so making sure I go to bed when I'd like and wake when I like, no alarms.
I do yoga.
I have a cleanser, moisturizer and sun block for my face.
I learn new things like chess.
Every day off I visit the library and the park for a walk and bird watching.2 -
I like getting up in the morning before my husband, having the place to myself, enjoying the quiet while sipping my coffee.
Since I’m retired now, I don’t rush anymore.
I do like to keep busy though. I’m always planning or have projects I’m working on.
I walk everyday. I try to exercise and do stretches. I’m listening to a great podcast that inspires me. I try to practice more tolerance and kindness. And I’m trying to eat better and cleaner.2 -
All the typical wellness things mean nothing to me. I exercise, have lazy evenings on the sofa with my nose in my laptop or play a stupid, but relaxing game on my phone (happy color). During weekends I do absolutely nothing or do sightseeing or hiking. So... basically I try to balance work and free time, and it overall works very well, especially when working in home office.0

Being outside in nature. Remembering to take actual rest days. I have a habit of having things planned for every day that I I don't have time to just "be." I do this when I'm on vacation, too. lol I do better when I go camping, though, since I tend to go off-grid and I'm forced to slow down.1

Like many others, walking every day is important to my overall wellbeing. Low stress is another important factor.1

I try to keep up with a vitamin regimin as well as just staying active all day long. The main exercise I do all day, every day is indoor walking. But I do also try to get to basic passive static stretch routine I do once every morning as well.1
