Hello. I am 53 yo female. I love to workout and lift weights but I am not reaching my goals. I eat low carb/keto and make it to the gym as much as possible but varies due to work schedule. I have gained 13 pounds in last year and would like to take some of it back off. Always open to suggestions.

Hi! My name is Ramona, 28 y/o female! Nice to meet you & welcome to MFP! Are you tracking your calories as well as working out?1

Gaining 13 pounds in a year suggests you've eaten around 125 calories above maintenance daily during that year, on average. That's not very many excess calories.
Minor daily things, like extra butter/oil, or a couple of very indulgent days/meals a month, can add that many calories quite easily.
If you can average 250 calories less daily than you've been eating, or move that much more, or some combination of the two, it'll be gone by next year, probably pretty painlessly. To lose it faster: Bigger cut, more challenging, but doable as long as not too extreme.
You don't necessarily even have to count calories to do that, if you're not counting already. Just changing some routine eating/activity habits can work.
Best wishes!0 -
Based on similar past experiences, I tend to lean towards a greater daily net calorie intake than what range your 'maintenance' range would be.
Could be exercising less or just a slightly larger intake of calories overall.0
