Any suggestions on how I should log the 30 day shred in the exercise tracker?

The most accurate thing to do would probably be to get a heart rate monitor that counts calories burned and wear it during your workout. That would take out the guess-work. Although I realize that doesn't help if you just finished a workout and need to enter it. LOL

    Most people do circuit training.
  • I just log it as 20 minutes Circuit training under the Cardio exercises.

A lot of people do it under circuit training lately MFP and my HRM of been pretty equal about 10 calories off of each other, I'm 5'3'' and 165. But yes a heart monitor is more accurate than MFP.

Before I got my HRM, I logged all my Jillian workouts as 'circuit training'. I finally got myself a monitor, it's just the watch type where you have to take your pulse quite a bit throughout the workout to get a reading - it usually tells me I'm burning more than the MFP estimates say. I just ordered a New Balance N4 over the weekend, so very curious to see how that compares to the watch.

Anyway - until you get one for yourself, I'd log it as circuit training. Nice work doing the Shred, too - it's a great workout! I loaned mine to my mom...I think I need to ask for it back if she's not going to use it.

I agree that the most accurate would be a heart rate monitor, but on the Jillian Michaels website she does have it broken down much like items are broken down for exercise on here. If you don't have an account with her I'm not sure if you can use the tool or not. If you find you cannot, message me privately and I can log into my account and find out for you. You would need to let me know your weight, height, age, which program (level 1, 2 or 3) and how long (how many minutes it took). I won't share the information with anyone but you.

I found this the other day when I logged into my account on her website and was curious about the calories burned. Hope that this helps you!
