Can I eat these foods?

A very good evening, Matteo here.
Last Sunday I ate a Tesco Pizza and logged it in.
Tonight for dinner I had chicken, broccolis and a small cheesecake.
The fact is that even if I ate those foods, I still kept myself within my calories goal for the day and I still hit all the macros I needed.
So my question is, can I eat those “unhealthy foods” if I stay within my calories and macros goal?
Of course i won’t be eating them everyday. Thanks!

Yes, in a nutshell. For weight loss it is calories which matter. How you eat those calories is up to you!2

of course. Weight management is about calories (energy), not some specific food2

Get the whole healthy/unhealthy food thing out of your vocabulary. Instead consider whether food is nutritious or less nutritious. Most of what you listed would be quite nutritious, and the cheesecake is something that while potentially less nutrient dense, is likely something that can keep you mentally happier and more likely to stick with your calorie goal. You hit your calorie and macro goals, so in my opinion nothing you ate is "unhealthy".2 -
Agree with everyone above.
I'd add the caveat that micronutrients and fiber are also important, if you're going for optimally healthy eating; but if those look good on average over a few days to a week too, you're fine.0 -
While it's good to pay attention to the nutritional aspect of what you are eating, as long as you don't have a medical issue that needs to be considered, it's fine to include foods you enjoy. If it's something particularly caloric, choose an appropriate portion, rather than eliminating. The pizza and cheesecake you mentioned are not "bad", just can be calorie dense and need to be eaten in smaller amounts than you may have previously. (Sitting down with a bag of chips and container of dip is one thing I've had to quit doing.)1

Yep.
I am allowed 1800 calories a day.
Sometimes it is picture perfect healthy foods.
Some days it is a 1 meal day I have 3 Big Macs and a coke.0 -
I think of it like spending money. Only instead, I have a certain amount of calories to spend per day.
I can splurge and "buy" something "expensive" (a high-calorie food) that uses up most of my allowance, and maybe it's a fun purchase but it doesn't give me anything practical that I really need.
Or, I can spend more wisely, find "bargain" foods to spend my calories on that are more practical and provide me with things I need.
But even if I'm spending wisely most days-- I don't see harm in 'splurging' once in a while on something fun. I just try to keep it within my budget.
