I say processed because most of us already know that foods like vegetables are low in sodium to sodium free... I am a girl that's on the run and often times need fast foods but I am also trying to cut out sodium just as I want to cut out calories so please share any of your favorite finds. Here are some of mine:

Columbus Salame Reduced sodium Turkey Breast

FRESH & EASY No salt added black beans Totally bland but well worth it for only 10mg of sodium , you can make them tasty with spices...

Mission White corn tortillas 120 cal 10 mg of sodium

Pasta: ceasars spinach gnocchi 170 cals for 15 pieces 50 mg of sodium
http://www.caesarspasta.com/gluten-free.php

Del Monte no salt added petite diced tomatoes with basil, garlic, and oregano 50 cals 50 mg of sodium..

Now you go ;)

Mrs. Dash. I use it on a lot of foods--cottage cheese and veggies are my favorites with Mrs. Dash added.

nice thread! i am ALWAYS looking for low sodium finds.... one that i was suprised was canned tuna. i buy the aldi brand and there is only 50 cals and 180 mg sodium per serving... its great!!
  • i really like the Fiber One 90 calorie range...the granola bars are a great chocolate fix...

    i also like string cheese...

if you have time to prepare before you leave i get a piece of whole wheat flat bread, brush on a little olive oil and sprinkle with Mrs Dash and red chilli flakes and roast in the oven...then i break it up into a ziplock bag. they are like tortilla chips but without the salt!

I'm also a fan of Mrs. Dash and Emerald brand nuts (cocoa roast). And recently discovered Gerber Graduates lil crunchies in mild cheddar  LOL I had to try what my grandbaby was eating. That's my story and I'm stickin to it. In all seriousness, they weren't bad at all - not for 35 cals/18 pieces and 50 mg sodium.

  • When talking about "processed" foods you can't look away from TV dinners--they are truly processed in every sense of the word. Healthy Choice gets my nod for keeping the sodium in the 300-600 range. You could eat 3 to 4 of their dinners in one day and still be under 2400 mg. In stark contrast look at Banquet and Swanson sodium content and you will be hard-pressed to find one under 800 mg.
