I turned 45 a little over a year ago and since that time my fear that the 10 pounds gained every year since I turned 30 (up from 5 pounds a year after turning 20) would become 20 pounds a year has been realized.
And I'm very afraid of what will happened if I do not get this under control.
And I want to do something about it.
(I want to focus on the positives first.)
I want to dance and go on trips.
I want to walk on the beach for as long as I can without pain.
I want to do a push-up (just one because action films have taught me that the ability to do a push-up could save my life).
I want to feel more grounded, more at peace, and less stressed out.
I want to find joy if movement whenever possible.
(I Don't want to start with the negatives like always have before, so I'm posting these second.)
I'm getting older and I am sick of feeling tired ALLLL the time.
I'm scared of developing Diabetes.
I'm scared of developing Sleep Apnea.
I'm scared of existing with so much pain.
I'm depressed about how I look and feel.
HW: was 215... then 226.6... then 237.5. and now...
SW: 262.4 (18 Stone +10 pounds)
GOALS:
To lose one stone (14lbs) by end of year (248): []
To lose at least 15 pounds (20!?!) by end of year (247 - 242) : []
To lose 2 stone (234): []
To lose 3 stone (42lbs) (220):[]

Hey, I’m in a very similar boat, all your hopes and fears, high 5 sister. I’ve got all kinds of comments, but to intro, I’m 38 and I’d love some accountability buddies.
Heaviest Weight: 232+ (I think it was a lot more, but I couldn’t bring myself to get on a scale for a long while)
| Ultimate Goal Weight: 117 - 149
Recent Starting Weight: Sep 12, 2023: 218.8
Second Half of September 2023 Goal:
Lose 18 lbs+ and reach Onederland before end of month - CHECK and CHECK!! Woop.
October 2023 Goals:
Lose 15 - 18 lbs. finishing the month at approx. 182, moving from an Obese BMI and into the Overweight BMI range (on course, currently 189.3)
November 2023 Goals:
Lose 15 lbs finishing the month at approx. 167
December 2023 Goals:
Lose 15 lbs finishing the month at approx. 152, moving from the Overweight BMI range to the Normal BMI range.
This is a crazy schedule for year end and probably not the most doable, but If I can get anywhere close to a Normal BMI by my birthday in April, I’ll be happy.2
