Hello! I try to reach my step goal but it’s challenging! But I try everyday. I will always post my steps even if I reach goal or not.

    Welcome to the boards @Kellmanning

If you mean did I track calories daily, absolutely, from day one.

Tracking showed me the shocking number I was eating, helped me calculate how to reel it in, make better choices, build a database so I could look and say “oops up four or five pounds but my experience shows it’s due to this and so and should pass off in a week” or “oops up four or five pounds because I ate too dang much, time to be a bit more mindful “, or “oops, no wonder I’m tired/fractious, I’m not eating enough”.

Tracking has been my #1 key to losing weight.

I know me. The moment I give myself permission not to track for a day, it’ll be two then three and off the rails pretty quickly. I’m not going back. Tracking is a lifetime commitment for me, and I’m cool with that. The health benefits far outweigh any minor annoyance.
