Hi ...obviously I'm a newbie , and I would like to gain about 20 pounds.
I'm a big procrastinator so I need friends for motivation.
We can compete compare and help each other.

Not often do you find people wanting to gain weight on here, but my husband is one of the few. His username is nrdoty if you're looking for friends.0

Are you trying to gain muscle or are you just thinner than you would like?
I can gain weight like a pro  unfortunately that isn't what I'm on the site for... I wouldn't mind if you want to add me. I can still cheer you on even though I have a different goal.0 -
Protein son, Protein...eat 10 to 14 times daily somewhat decent sized meals that range from 500 to 750 cal each and hit those weights for muscle mass....if that is what you want....muscle I mean. I hope that is what you want. I would try to strive for 4500 to 6000 cal a day which is insane to me, I only eat 1000 to 1350 a day..0

Welcome aboard. Feel free to friend me.
Lift heavy, get plenty of sleep, and eat lots of protein and vegetables. Shoot for 30% to 40% of your caloric intake to come from protein.
Did I mention lift heavy?0 -
I'm trying to add 15. It isn't as easy as you'd think.0

Getting enough calories to gain weight isn't hard. Getting enough calories from HEALTHY foods is that hard part! My husband has so much trouble gaining weight. That many calories from healthy food is A LOT of food!! Good luck to both of you!0 -
I know a lot of people who are in your situation. They often have found that supplements do work.
Try Muscle Mass Protein Shakes and also try pre workout boosters to help you work out harder and lift heavier!
It may be expensive but may work for you! Dont forget the after work out protein shakes with muscle recovery properties!0 -

first, why 10-14 times a day and how can you give a recommend caloric intake without knowing his TDEE?0 -
I went from 126 to a competition weight of 165 in 2 years so I know how to put on weight. Stick to the basics.............for 3 months I only did deadlifts, squats and dips and progressed in poundages each week. I got really good at form. I ate about 4000 calories a day and got plenty of rest. I will admit I did no cardio back then, but believe me when you're lifting heavy for 5 sets for 6-10 reps with as much weight as you can handle and not long rest periods, you will get some lung conditioning. I would say to at least do 20 minutes of cardio 3 days a week to keep your heart strong. And take in about 1.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight to ensure you feeding the muscle for repair. Don't neglect eating carbs or fats either.0
