Brought the dog in from a rainy walk.
He went mental, running up and down stairs, throwing himself on the floor, rolling over wildly, jumping on all the furniture, and barking like it was the greatest thing in the world.
He does this after baths, too.
So simple but gives him so much pleasure, and I enjoy watching the fool.
What’s your simple pleasure today?
Mine this afternoon will be the last of this season’s pomegranate on some cottage cheese. I think I appreciate it more when I can’t have it at will.

Today: just standing next to the burning wood stove, basking in the heat (it's freezing outside).6

Sitting my sore bottom and back on a heating pad at highest setting, cat asleep in lap, trying to embroider while the thread tickles his ears.5 -
First trip to the grocery store in over a month. I know, I know. The grocery store just isn't that exciting. But it was the first time in over a month! I went crazy over yogurt! Of all things. All the Christmas candy was beautifully displayed by the front door, but I beeline for the yogurt! Still need to go to a different store later with a list for veggies, salad makings, etc. My taste buds have really changed! Lol!9

I bought me a pencil tree and sitting beside it and looking outside at all the neighbors lights gives me much joy. Eating a couple of halos, yum., love those things. Sometimes having some 50 cal hot choc to warm up. I forgot about sitting on a heating pad as someone mentioned, love that and read.5

I enjoy my dog, every single moment i'm with her. She's a card. A full fridge of good food... a well appointed house filled with ambience. All those three things together.. really..happen for me most every day. It is the best.5

Getting up early, when it is still dark out and the house is quiet. Sitting in my chair with only the Christmas lights on, savoring my morning cup of coffee. Peace, love and joy.6

Sunday afternoon power nap. 15-20 mins and I feel like a new person...4

My simple pleasure today was working from home, knowing I wouldn't need to worry about snow on my commute

I have a coffee advent calendar, and I particularly enjoyed today's "spiced eggnog" flavor.6

Laughing to myself when I am done tidying up and find 3 pairs of reading glasses and the book I have been meaning to finish.3

Singing. With the car radio during my hour+ commute, with the stereo while cooking dinner, with my church choir. But I don't sing in the shower...the acoustics there are terrible! lol5

Super basic: my vanilla latte in the morning, it's just a comfort at this point.4
