Day one completed

I completed one day of the new change I have decided to make in my life. I am changing how I eat and learning a new way of eating healthy and reasonably by not over-eating. It is not easy because I noticed that limiting your food intake and not eating until your stomach explodes is going to take some getting used to and some strong willpower, especially when others at home don't have the same problem you do.

But I have succeeded on my first day and will be taking things one day at a time. Eventually, this will become second nature to me, and I will be able to do this without any thought.

Welcome to Day 2 and welcome to MFP @jahesa1

You have to take it day by day at the beginning.

    Welcome!

To add to what @springlering62 added, don't beat yourself up when you fall down. It will happen. If not, you're superhuman. We all have days when things go sideways. When that happens, just don't let it get to your head. Just get back up, dust off, and keep going down the path.

Don't let all that become a habit, but for sure don't feel like a failure if you have a bad day. Thomas Edison said, "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.” Keep sticking to it!

Yeah, "filled to the hilt" is not something people should use as a proxy for eating and being satisfied, unfortunately that is normal from my experience and of course the consequences speak for themselves. Good luck. :)

That’s great! One day at a time. From my experience habits do change and become easier, but they’re never thoughtless or automatic (at least not for me). I’ve had to shift my mindset to being intentional and consistent and that helps me. This seems like a great community to keep the encouragement and motivation going!
