I hit 60 this month and have stayed pretty much in shape since my 20's.

At age 46, my joints like me much better if I stay in shape. If I go for more than a week or so away from the gym and doing something, my knees will let me know!

Um, I'm a 68 year old woman. If I don't stay active all year long, bad things start to happen. I don't want to move to an assisted living facility any earlier than is minimally necessary, so I'd better stay active.

I guess that's "fit all year", dunno.

I'm a runner and a walker. I can do both year around. I need to be active in order to keep my mind halfway sane. It helps me control my depression, as well as my weight. I get 1-2 hours of exercise every day. That's easy because I have a large dog who loves to be walked.

I generally sign up for races throughout the year, so I'm usually training or maintaining for the next one. However, I had a baby last spring following 9mos of severe morning sickness that made exercise a no-go. I focused on baby-bonding and nursing for the rest of last year. Planning a slow build back this year!

I swim like crazy all summer. Retired, season pass to water park. When swim season is over, I'm done.
