Eating enough

I have the problem where I never seem to eat enough, I should eat 1500cal per day and am lucky if I eat 1000. Now that I am spending 30 to 40 minutes a day on the treadmill it's just gotten worse. Is there any foods that are higher in calories that might help? I don't eat very big portions of anything.

If I don’t think I’m going to get enough calories I eat something with peanut butter.. or just peanut butter on a spoon, maybe with a banana or something. Depending if you count macros or need to pay attention to fat/carbs that’s a great way to get more calories in.

OP can you give your current stats and how much weight have you lost and over what time frame?

are you losing weight too rapidly? if not, then you may be underestimating calories consumed. what is your current weight and goal weight, and when did you start counting calories? how much have you lost?

If you're losing weight fast, yes, eat more. (It's your actual weight loss rate that matters, averaged over 4-6 weeks, or over whole menstrual cycles if you have those.)

Some calorie dense foods are nuts, nut butters, avocados, full-fat dairy foods (cheese, full-fat yogurt, sour cream, etc.), seeds. You can also use more or richer salad dressings, use more oil or butter in cooking or on foods, etc. If it helps you get adequate calories, consider eating more often (more times per day) if that helps overcome limited appetite.

I am wondering what your goal is...lose weight? Gain? I never have an issue of eating too little.
