Thanks for all the hugs and prayers. They are greatly appreciated.
I'm very impressed with all the great VO2 Max 's. I thought mine was pretty good and it's only 37.
Great running and walking everyone.
@daria0919 Enjoy your time at VA Beach and good luck with the tournament. I hope you are able to get in some good walks while you are there.
@polskagirl01 I'm looking forward to seeing the new and improved immersion tub. It's always frustrating when you make a big change like that and nothing seems to happen. Hopefully you'll notice a difference soon, but, like you said, you know it is healthier whether there are any tangible improvements or not.
@SummerSkier I hope it clears up and you are able to play tennis on Sunday. I had been asked to play indoors this past Tuesday, but turned them down since I wasn't sure about getting out of my driveway by then. Hopefully they will ask again soon.

Mom and I got much needed haircuts this morning and then went shopping. We were both low on a lot of things after being iced in for over a week.
I wanted to run on the driveway today, but tree trimmers were working at the end of my driveway and I really didn't want to run laps with them there, so I did another treadmill run when the Jan weather was so nice. I also got a couple of phone calls before I got started, so I cut the run short since I was getting hungry.
I did run a fairly fast 1.3 miles - fast for me anyway. I ran 2 min each at 4.5 - 5.1 mph, then 2:26 min at 4.5 mph. That made for an avg pace of 12:38 min/mile. My avg HR was 137 with a max of 152 bpm.
I'm really hoping the rain they are forecasting doesn't start until tomorrow afternoon and I can finally run outside in the morning.

Things have been very rainy in San Diego, there have been area of tragic flooding and damage. Yesterday, and especially today is my favorite. As a lifelong coastal Californian, the best weather in California is mid-winter two days after the rain stops. It's usually high sixties, the humidity is very low, the blue sky is fresh and crystal clear and the hills and fields are all emerald carpets of green.
If it's a hard rain, it's a mess, but afterward it's near perfect. I had a nice golden hour run.

I finally got out for a run - it’s still school holidays so I have smalls at home wreaking havoc with my schedule and the lingering effects of the virus have me wanting to sleep longer so early starts are out.
However, it’s Saturday so I headed into the forest to do my usual loop. It’s 12k on gravel roads and rather hilly. I was happy the whole way but kept a weather eye on my heart rate, walking when it got too near 150. This meant the run was about five minutes longer than usual.
Seems every bloke and his bike, every girl and her dog, a number of horses and loads of runners had the same idea as me. I figured it was because the temperature was lovely and cool, which makes a pleasant change from the hot and sticky we’ve had for much of January. It was great to see so many people enjoying the forest but I do rather like it when I have the whole place to myself!
That being said, it’s a decent sized forest for one on the city limits so I had plenty of alone time so shouldn’t really complain!

Yeah, I get CICO... but cookies + candy literally all day PLUS regular meals has got to be a ton more calories than:
- a morning oat "milk" with straight cocoa & creatine/BCAA powder (replacing the bigger shaker of the same with nesquik instead of cocoa that I had been ingesting daily)
- a smaller than normal lunch because I'm not that hungry.
- and then a couple meat/cheese/rice cake sandwich and plate of raw carrots/peppers around 7pm 🤷♀️
- Snacks in-between would be raiding the container of cut raw vegetables in the fridge.
- Electrolyte/vitamin tablets have about 24 calories, maybe 1 of those per day.
Yesterday I added hummice to the raw veggies, so that would add calories. But not 10 cookies' worth. Maybe I'll log everything for a while to check in. And it's only been a couple weeks. Sundays add 1 piece of cake and the same pizza I would've been eating every Sunday previous to the change.

Morning all
Got in 4.36M (at 09"48).
Calorie deficit people. Only game in town.
No vegan, no keto, no paleo, no intermittent fasting, no apple cider vinegar, no Atkins, no slimmers world, no huel, no Noom... It's all horse💩.
Calories in; Calories Out.
Only game in town.
Upto you how you juggle them.
The end. And they all lived happily ever after.7 -

This is my philosophy as well.4 -
I took yesterday and today as rest days. It is cloudy and gray right now, but it is supposed to clear around lunch and be nice for the next few days. I hope so. This past week was especially stressful at work, and next week will probably not be any better. I try not to let it, but the weather really effects my mood I am hoping for a pretty morning tomorrow for my long run.8

Garmin had a 1.5 hr run on the schedule today. Garmin seems to take a different view on pacing a long run that Hanson's did. Hanson's has a target pace about 1 min slower than race pace. Garmin had me targeting about 2.5 mins slower. Luckily it gives you a range to work within because with the cooler temps it was hard to go very slow. I ended up averaging about 1.5 mins slower than race pace. It did feel very slow and easy, which I guess was the point.
Then to the grocery store so my kid could find some new food options. They typically eat a really narrow range of foods and it's difficult to get them to try something new. So we walked up and down every aisle today and I was pleasantly surprised at the number and variety of things they chose. Hopefully some of it will stick for a while. I was just happy to see them willing to try some stuff.8 -

Woooow! Look at this! I started my long run aiming at 7km with a stretch goal of 8, and I did manage it somehow. Weather was perfect though: cold-ish and no wind. Also nice: I kept up my pace, thus there's hope I'll manage to run the 10k I'm training for at this pace as well (not a race).10 -

How do you guys manage to run so much and not have feel problems? I'm having so much hard spots underneath my feet (especially at the front food between the extension of the toes) and it's just so unpleasant. Yeah, I'm hypermobile and my tissue just seem to squeeze into gaps and then get hard or blistery, but still...4

I’m 1 run from goal. I’m flying to Dublin tomorrow morning to meet my sister for a wedding fair and back Monday. I’ve packed my running gear so might get a run on Monday morning before checking out. We r staying in the Gresham hotel on O’Connell street so looking forward to this.
Thank you for all the birthday wishes. Much appreciated!6 -

I would imagine it’s your shoes not fitting properly - your foot may be sliding inside your shoe. Were you fitted professionally? Your socks may also be a factor. Proper sweat wicking running socks can be life changing.7 -
Sounds like wonderful weather for a run yesterday @chris_in_cal .
@ContraryMaryMary Looks like a great place for a run. It's good that so many people were out getting some exercise, but I get wanting to be alone too.
Hahaha @tarun_yadavA . I tend to agree with you. I've tried most of those diets in my lifetime. They work temporarily, but aren't sustainable for me. So, running and portion size is what works for me. Great running.
@kgirlhart I hope you enjoyed your rest day and that you have great weather for your run tomorrow. I also hope the work stress decreases soon.
@martaindale Nice running. That's speedy for an "easy" pace. I'm glad your kids are willing to try new foods and hope some of the good choices will stick.
Great mileage @SummerSkier .
You are doing so good @yirara ! Keep up the good work.
Great running. Thank you and yes @AlphaHowls .
Enjoy your trip @Mari33a ! I hope you get the run in and make your goal while you are there.

I continued my Peyton's training today and ran 3 5Ks. The rain was predicted to start around 8:00 am, so I started my first 5K at 6:00 am. It was cloudy but the big bright moon was still shining through the clouds and the temp was 43F. I started my next 5K at 8:00 am and actually saw the sun shining for a few minutes. The temp was 45F. Luckily the rain held off and I started my next 5K at 10:00 am and it was 50F. It started raining around 11:45 - @quilteryoyo - I hope you were able to get outside before it started.7

76.50/85.00 mile goal
I needed to get some things done this morning before heading to a wedding this afternoon, so I didn't have time for a long workout. I did manage to get out for a driveway wun before the ran hit, so that was a win. The temperature was 52°F (11.1°C), cloudy, and humid. Not quite as good as the last couple of days, but I'll take it.
My wun was an average pace of 15:14 min/mile or 3.9 mph. But, my Avg HR was 137 with a max of 153 bpm. I attribute that to having not slept well at all last night and being stressed.
