Hello

Hi my name is Sherry. I am working on losing quite a bit of weight.

This time I am taking the slow and steady approach. So far, so good. I am almost a week in.

I am trying to just reduce portion size and eating healthier. Cutting out soda, energy drinks, and sweets.

I will get back to the gym in the next week.

    Hi Sherry,

    Welcome! Cutting out soda is a great first step. It won't be easy! Stopping drinking your calories is for sure a great way to cut back.

    Are you using a food scale to adjust your portions? Your eye can play tricks on you.

    Thank you for reaching out. I am surprised how easy it has been to cut out soda. I think eating better has helped curb the cravings.

    I have not used a food scale. That is great advice, I will have to go grab one.

    How long have you been on your weight loss journey? How is it going?

    Years.

    I was on and off for about four or so, just not committed. Then I made a decision and got after it. Then I maintained until some time during the pandemic where I maintained higher than I liked, and now I'm back getting to where I think I should be. Maybe a decade?

    Hi Sherry, I totally hear ya. I’ve come to realization that food will not be my enemy. No more seconds, smaller portions, and sodas/ cocktail's on special occasions. Lots of water.
