I have struggled with my weight for ten years. About 3 years ago I lost 50 pounds. I am 5'8" and 244 pounds now. I had gotten down to 202 two years ago. I still go to the gym at least 3 times a week. I am a little frustrated and can't understand why I can't just accept me for me. How do I get back to the healhy lifestyle?

its a choice....you just have to choose to do better for yourself
  • Sounds like you are already taking steps! Congratulations! You are here, you are exercising. Keep at it! This is a great place for support and ideas. Set some goals for yourself. Start small so you can feel successful and work your way up! Good luck! And feel free to add me as a friend if you would like!
  • I never stopped exercising after the loss. Just frustrated, thanks for the support.

The way I'd look at it, is - are you in a healthy BMI range for your height/weight now? Do you have more muscle mass after exercising? (that will add more lbs on the scale)... those are really the questions you need answered... not so much the # on the scale... and it is a frame of mind - are close friends agreeing with you or are you just being extremely critical of yourself? Possibly you had a specific # on the scale in mind and did not meet it? Take some pics - they tell a lot, and sometimes we can't see what others see... you need to be happy with you. I know I just want to feel good in all kinds of clothes and be a healthier person all around.. not sure if that helped or not but I feel your frustration. Hope you can find your answer here....
