Moment you realized that you have a problem

I've had a lot of those "Oh ****" moments where I realized that I have a serious weight problem.... Many of the expected ones, jeans getting too tight, buying bigger and bigger ones.... A few things have really gotten me motivated lately. Sometimes being disappointed in your current condition is the best form of motivation.

1. There are no more pants sizes larger that what I currently wear at "normal stores" (have to go places like Lane Bryant or go without, and NOBODY wants to see that mess!)

2. Can no longer take a flattering "Myspace/Facebook Angle" photo without the chin(s) sneaking in

3. Boobs that can literally hit me right in the face when I lie down.

4. Don't fit in some chairs (or fit but the chair goes with you when you get up!)

That's only a few of my "Oh ****" moments. I would love to hear yours!

I was in denial of my weight gain until I saw some candid, full-body pictures. Yikes!

Oh I totally had this happen at a family reunion a couple of years ago with some distant relative I don't know. And the woman would not take no for an answer. She kept bugging me about it. She was like "No, really, when are you due? Do you know what you are having?"

When I saw a group picture, and had to ask who someone was. I didn't recognize myself.

When I couldn't ride a bike or walk on my stair stepper for more than 5 min. At that time I was already big and I knew it, but I could always work out and diet and loose some lbs. It is when I couldn't work out any more that I realized I was in big trouble.

I had a medical condition that caused a large unexplained weight loss. When I was referred to the specialist, I told him my chief symptom was losing 25 pounds without trying, his response was "That's probably a good thing for you." It really hurt at the time, but it was an eye-opener.
