I was using myfitness pal pretty regularly and then once I started seeing WHAT I was eating, I put myself in denial and quit using it. I can be an am most of the time at home a very healthy eater. However, I am extremely compulsive when it comes to food. My addiction: this stupid ice cream mudslide at a fast food restaurant. There were days I was eating it upwards of 3 times a day.

I went from being extremely healthy and active my whole life to making excuses to letting my weight pile on to almost 250. Then I dropped weight down to about 200, got pregnant, and now that my daughter is 6 months old I am 290 lbs.

I don't want this life for my daughter. I only have 3 shirts that I can wear, I'm actually married to a personal trainer who has to live his life embarrassed by his overweight wife.

I am better than this and it's time I start holding myself accountable.

  • Hi shockerchik, I agree with the shock of using this tool to calorie count after a long period of not keeping track - have been asking myself if I can REALLY have racked up 1200 kcals so quickly! This is going to take a week or two to get used to, and like you I am in it for the long haul. Best of luck with your journey.
