What Happened?

About three months ago, I ran a lot. I could run up to 3 and a half miles. My goal was to train for a 5k. I was so close. It felt so great about running. I wanted to sign up for a race within the next month, but I just quit. One day I woke up and stopped. What happened? I am just now realizing what I had done. How could I push so hard just to give up. I think most of it was stress, even though running was a way to relieve stress. Well, I am back on the fitness path and I am not going to give up. I am kinda keeping all of my fitness and working out a secret from my family and friends because I want to surprise them. So many times in the past I have said that I am going to do something, only to let myself and others down. Now is the time for change. This is my life and it is time for me to step up and show that I care and I CAN do it and WILL do it. I am up to 1 mile now and proud of it. I love how I feel after a hard workout and a nice run. :) Is there anyone out there who feels the same way??

I ran for 8 years, daily, had to stop due to anemia. I was so fat and unhealthy for years. Most of my kids are runners/college/marathon..... I started back to running daily and 12oo cal. and have lost almost 60lbs. in a few months...FITNESS IS AWESOME..I love to run again, my new streak is now daily for 16 weeks...JUST DO IT!!! NO EXCUSES!! It took a couple months to fall back in love with RUNNING!!! good luck...

The way I feel after a workout is what keeps me doing it on a regular basis. I can't explain it and don't know if it's physical or psychological but it is such a good feeling and exercising is so good for health, reduces stress, good for maintaining healthy blood pressure and cholsterol levels too and let's not forget the heart. It's a good thing and I'm glad you didn't give up. And like the ad says, "It does a body good".

More then likely u pushed yourself too far. I have done that plenty of times. Maybe your body didnt see that as fun anymore so it made you quit. run but run for fun not because you have to.
