Funny thing happened to me today...I was telling a friend about MFP and encouraging him with his weight loss and a person who was in the room spoke up and said to me. I seriously doubt you ever weighed 248 pounds! I was in total shock, I thought about it and realized they had only been around me for the last month and never saw me at my worst!

Awesome! I had a similar experience yesterday -- I was encouraging a new-ish friend in her weight loss and when I told her I had lost 40 lbs, she was shocked -- "You?! WHEN did you lose 40 lbs?!" It felt good, I have to admit, that she perceived me as a small person - not a formerly-fat-now-smaller person.

I love that feeling. I used to weigh 20 stone. I started my new job at about 14 stone and the otherr day I was telling my friend that I used to be heavier and she could not believe it. I also love when you see someone who has not seen you for years and they do not recognise you. It is exhilarating isn't it?

Actually no...no I find that I am quite embarrassed at the way I looked and only recently realized I was obese and thought I looked good. So no I will let them see me as I am now.
