How do i calculate grams to calories

hey so i have a food scale in grams but when i am weighing my food how do i calculate the grams in to calories ?

    I'm not sure I understand your question.
    You weigh your food, you look up the food in question in the food database (based on, for example, the nutritional label of the food, and then enter the appropriate amount into your diary: MFP then calculates the number of calories (and other info).

    You weigh the food item, find the appropriate entry in the food database that has grams as an option, and enter the weight and log that item. Repeat for the other foods you are eating. The amount of calories per gram will vary depending on the food.
