I am trying this to keep me accountable for my food intake and exercise. I get so busy with the new baby and work that I make excuses not to exercise!!

I totally hear ya!!! I actually really enjoy working out but I have to find balance between my kids, job and that! Add me if you like!
  • Well done. I also wanted some accountabil;ity so I am trying this at the suggestion of m,y personal physician;she just lost 90 lbs and looks awesome and said this helped her a LOT!
  • Welcome! Hopefully soon I'll have my second and be right there with you to lose the baby weight! Stay strong but for the first month or so just focus on baby, eating enough, and SLEEPING!!! Once your baby finds her sleep schedule and falls into a routine balancing more exercise and healthier eating in will be a bit easier

I totally agree with you on that one. The only reason I don't is because of the challenges I join on here. This place has really helped. Feel free to add me if you'd like. :)

Keep at it and you'll lose it. Just remember it took 9 months to put the baby weight on so it will take awhile for it to come off. I've been able to get my workouts fit in during naptime, but this is my last week of maternity leave so my schedule is going to totally get changed soon. I'm worried how I'll fit it all in, but I know I have to. My boys deserve to have a healthy Mommy.
  • It is so easy to lose tract of what you eat when you are either pregnant, nursing (5000+ calories a day) or even a mother of a toddler. You tend to eat what you want and exercise becomes harder to come by. And when you have free time all you want to do is nap. I know I lived all these excuses. I was even the mother that nursed for a year. I am here to stand beside you. It's not easy and we all need all the support we can get .
  • New-ish mom to my first (16 mo. old) --but definitely understand difficulty of balancing work/home/baby and making excuses not to exercise. Feel free to add me!

I'm a a new mom (and a teacher as well).

My son is 7 months now...I have been on this site for a few weeks, and wish I had found it before I got pregnant!

I think you will find it useful - I have found more success than any other method I've tried. The community support / accountability is a huge help.

It is hard to take care of yourself when all of your focus is on the baby - give yourself a chance to get your feet under you, and take it slow. With a new baby, just logging in each day and tracking honestly is a victory, even if you don't exercise a single bit! Then, as time goes by, you can slowly start making small adjustments to your lifestyle.

Feel free to add me - we can help eachother look BETTER than before the baby....:)
