I will.be starting on Sunday!! I plan on following Jillian's recomandation and doing each level 5 times a week. This is my second go around. I finished it in Mayand saw great results! If you did 30 DS then you are ready for Ripped in 30! Good luck to everyone :-)0
-
I am ready and may start tonight regardless of the BF's request to take a night off.... LOL
I was like, Why?? Seriously, I want to get fit...what gives?0 -
Completed my 1st day of ripped in 30! It was good!
Can anyone get into her diet on her website?0 -
Getting the Dvd tomorrow and i'm starting Sunday.0
-
great to hear that a few have started. i will be starting sunday so if you want to give a preview of what level 1 has to offer, i certainly wouldn't mind!0
-
also, mistyboggs will be joining us, she got back to me today but still wants to do it0
-
Level one was alot of form. She wants to make sure you can do the following plank squats pushups situp/crunches. Her cardo is alot of "running " in place. The ab work wasnt that hard, the only one that gave me alittle problem was the the side plank holding yourself up with one arm and lifting your torso. I kept falling over. Its all about balance and ihave NONE!!
Its a good intro into her other levels. I'll have more info tomm after i do level 2. To see what is really important in level 1.0 -

Here is the link to her diet plan. I havent looked over it yet.0 -
good preview, thanks for that! i can't wait to start. i have heard she is more about form in this one.0
-
I plan on starting tomorrow. (my grandma says tomorrow never comes) Anyway I'm really excited, because I recently almost finished the 30 DS and am ready to get back in the groove.0
-
finished it about an hour ago. i have to say it was about what i was expecting but a lot of the level 3 moves from 30 day shred seemed to be in level 1 of this one! that makes me a little nervous about what's to come. i am proud of myself for doing the advanced moves whenever possible. i did like one of her lines something like "transformation doesn't start in the future, it starts right now"... good line for me. i always thought before i started this program that "when i'm ready i will exercise". so what she is saying is true. i feel like i have to do something now, and have to continue even if it gets difficult.0

I agree with you. I also liked that line she used in level 1...very motivating. It seems I always think I can start TOMORROW or MONDAY or the 1st of NEXT MONTH. I appreciate that she doesn't allow excuses. Just get to it. I felt like it was much longer than 24 minutes at first, but it got a little better once I was on the 3rd set. I'm excited to do this with all of you! It worked out great too... I didn't think I'd get the DVD in time, but it showed up in my mailbox yesterday.
By the way, I like the looks of the meal plan... I haven't looked really closely yet, but it appeared to be fairly easy to follow. I think doing this workout and staying within cals as much as possible on MFP will get the results we want! :- )

Alright ladies! I started yesterday but failed to update.
DAY 1 - WEEK 1 (yesterday)
Wow, my first thought was, "Did she HAVE to throw all the exercises I dreaded into one DVD, seriously?" But I'm really hoping it's just this first week where she has the moves i don't like. (Side lunges with arm raise. I can't get the form right either, don't worry you're not alone!)
I did super well getting through though. I even yelled to my husband to get me the 15lb weight for the exercises that called for just 1 weight.
The Running man's and the fast feet (football drill) are what did my gluets and hammies in. Thats all that's sore on my body but my toosh is nice and firm today. bravo Jillian!
I don't plan on doing her meal plan mostly because it's just not something I need right now. I wish I had that ability and will power, but right now all i'm looking to do is maintain my weight so I don't have a caloric restriction, also there are food allergies in my house that I can't dance around. My husband's allergic to poultry aka, the cheaper healthier choices of proteins so I just eat red meats, but in lower moderation than my husband and bulk up on my veggies at dinner.
I personally don't like the character JM played on Biggest Loser, she seemed so fake, but the lines she uses in her DVDs are so real. " THIS IS A 20 MINUTE WORK OUT, THERE ARE NO BREAKS" so true. All her lines are pretty motivating and down to earth. There's no sugar coating things she says.
Also, she says that we can go 5 days on, 1 day off.. but personally if i stop i won't continue so I'm going to do 4 weeks straight.0 -
yeah i think i'll be getting slightly heavier weights for some of them because 3lb just doesn't feel like a whole lot. i don' thave 15lb weights but i think i have 5's and 8's so i'll pull those out. i hate the side lunges with arm raises, i've hated those since 30ds and i don't think i'll like them now, but i'll be happy if i can get the form down. i'm going to stay on week 1 for 6 days, do a rest day (where i just walk or somethign) and then move onto the next week.0

DAY 2 - WEEK 1 Complete
(today)
So Very proud of myself, never took an actual breather, only to look up and see if they were done or if i was off pace (I have no coordination what so ever.) I even did the last ab set on both legs, not one knee.
What modified versions do y'all have to do still? I can't do full push ups, I do it from the knees, but I think that's about it! Oh and reverse crunch I do the modified version too only because i have bad form and i'm yet to do the full version without hurting myself.0 -
i also did day 2 of level 1 today. it was a lot easier! it went pretty fast this time.
i still have trouble with those stupid side lunges. i cannot get it right and go as fast as they do. i am able to do the push ups finally but i think that's b/c of 30 day shred. before i started 30ds i was never able to do them. you will get stronger. i am trying to go all of the advanced moves. it's been very challenging. the side ab lift things i have trouble doing up on the arm instead of on the elbow. one side i think i have stronger abs. i used heavier weights this time. didn't touch the 3.3 lb ones, used 5's and 8's. so feeling pretty awesome about that. can't wait to get through this week and see what level 2 has to offer. i'm tempted to look but trying to take it one week at a time. i rushed a little through 30ds. supposed to do 10 days on each level and really did 7 days each level and then went back and did the advanced moves on all the levels until i had done in for 30 days. i guess that worked for me but this time i plan on doing 1 week (6 days with 1 rest day) on each and then moving on.0 -
Today was my day one week one. I couldn't find time yesterday since I was a single mom for the day lol. But today I felt great! Im using 3 lb weights and all the advanced moves. I dislike lunges too, but im just glad they aren't the jumping lunges from 30ds!! Im planning on making Saturday my off day since I have an all day fall event. Doy 6 week 1 on Sun. And then start week 2 on Monday.
Keep up the hard work and dedication!!0 -
Today was my first day. I really am glad to get in to the swing of things. i definately thing 30ds prepared me for this. Can't wait to see how this progresses.0
-
Week 1- day 2. I made it to the third circuit and had to quit a little early because everyone started stirring in the house. I guess tomorrow I will have to get up 30 minutes earlier. I guess after everyone goes to school I will hit the treadmill or eliptical.0

i have a 1 year old and she usually wakes up early in the AM, sometimes before i do. so i do my workout at 8pm. it seems to work well. i get through my workout and she's asleep. i have the monitor on in case she wakes up but it's been ok so far.0

Day 3 - week 1, complete.
(Today)
Push ups were pain for me today but i was drenched with "glow" (sweat) afterward! Thanks Jillian!
In related news, I motivated my friend to do the 30DS She's battled her weight for ever, and i really hope she finds strength to stick with that DVD until the last day!0 -
Day 2 week one complete today I decided to do the workout with 5lb weights but ended up doing the side lunges with 3lbs hopefully i'll be able to raise it up by the end of the week.0

That's great that you got her to start. I really think she'll keep up with it because I saw changes in just the first 10 days0 -
Day 2 week 1 DONE!! Thanks mostly to this group. I woke up and biked for an hour today so between yesterdays workout and the bike ride my butt and thighs were killing me. But once I started RI30 tonight I flew through it and feel Amazing!! I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday!!0
-
i hate those side lunges. i tried to do them with 5lb weights today and my form was all over the place. i guess i will go back with the 3lb weights. but it was a lot easier on day 3. been able to do most of the advanced stuff.0
-
Day 3 week 1 down! My muscles are sore so I stretched a little more at the end today.0
-
Day 4, week 1. COMPLETE!
today I dropped the weights on the side lunges and decided I'd focus on form. Silly as it is, I still got a work out just lifting my arms. It's getting into that "chair" pose (butt back knees not over toes, not bending opposite leg)They're all so hard to master together, and then on top of that.. with weights!
this is flying by already.. I say that now before I run into a move down the road that I despise!
and an update on my friend.. she battled her way though day 3 of the shred, go her! woo! she says she's already seeing changes in her biceps and it's really helping her stick to it.0 -
Yay! I'm happy to hear that about your friend she's going to feel great when she finishes the program . Today was day 4 for me and I got through all the push ups. Also my form is getting better on the side lunges. Hope you guys are improving and have fun getting ripped!0
-
I almost didn't get to do my work out today, thanks to a headache that consumed all of my head and down my neck. I have a sleep med that does more harm than good. I feel hung over the morning after I take it.
But I did it! day 5, week 1! Complete I love feeling my nice firm core!0
