Hello,
Newbie here. I really don’t understand this app at all.
Do I pay more attention to calories in than macros which I don’t get either.
I’m 73 and just need to lose about 15lbs.
Appreciate any help at all.
Thank you
B

Just eat the number of calories it has given you. If you haven't started losing weight after a couple weeks, lower your calories a bit (by maybe 250)1 -

The question is: have you gone through the goal set-up, entering your personals stats and choosing an activity level and weight loss rate?
If you have: aim for the calorie goal (within 50 calories or so, no need to be exact) you got during at least 4 weeks and then reassess: if you've lost weight as expected, no need to change anything - if you haven't lost weight/or not as fast as planned, you can lower calories (or increase calories if you're losing more quickly than intended).
Since you're only trying to lose 15lbs, it's best to choose a slower weight loss rate (0.5 or perhaps 1lb per week).
