Hi Everyone my name is Amanda. I'm new to my fittness pal. I started about 2 weeks ago stuck with it really well for the first week second week not so much...I'm trying to do better! Id like to lose about 22 pounds. and then re evaluate. That would bring me to the weight i was when i got married only 2.5 short years ago. Life has been a VERY bumpy ride since then and i believe my weight gain was mostly due to stress. Well I hope to make some new friends and hopefully find some motivation because I dont have much!! hellppp!

It is good that you are seeing the connection with stress and health. The less stressed you are, the more healthy you are. It is a direct relationship and incredibly important to us as humans. Take some time to research stress relief techniques and see if you can start applying them to your daily life. This, in combination with your calorie counting and exercise, will help you not only lose those 22 lbs, but really become a healthier person in mind as well.0 -

I think you will find the encouragement and support here to be fantastic. It is one of the key elements in my success. Without support, it makes the journey lonesome and difficult.

Awesome.... stick with it! I joined 2 1/2 weeks ago myself and have so far managed to drop 4 pounds. I don't measure everything I eat exactly, but MFP has really given me perspective on appropriate portions.
Also... totally agree w/ @sarah44254 (Great job, yourself, too!) about stress. I know I've gained the most, the most rapidly during high stress periods.
Don't get too down on yourself on the days that you go over your calorie goal (I exceed mine by anywhere between 20-100 cal at least 3x per week)... just keep it close, and exercise as much as you can, even if it's just walking the dog for 15 minutes.0
