Im new but this is my success story in progress!

I started MFP 35 days ago but I have been watching what I eat and going to the gym now for 2 months. I have always been skinny, actually too skinny from what people said, until my Husband asked me to marry him! Honestly I think the day after he asked me I put on 5 pounds! That was back in 1999. Since then we now have two beautiful girls ages 3 and 15 months. Of course I put on alot of weight from both pregnancies and I never had the energy or motivation to lose the weight. I was in the frame of mind that I would always be heavy and that was the life dealt to me. I dont have many pictures of me and my girls because I hate the way I look and that is what turned my life around! I want to be healthy and here for a long time for my girls. I want to see my Grandchildren when im much older!
So I got off the couch (im a stay at home Mom) and signed up for the gym! I started eating healthy, cutting out fast food, which was what we ate for dinner nearly everynight! I realized how unhealthy that was for my baby girls! I was setting them up to be overweight like Mommy.
Monday through Friday I go to the gym for an hour of very intense cardio and an hour of strength training. I eat fruits and veggies now! I stick to 1200 calories a day and I no longer drink sodas, just water, all day long.
My starting weight was 181, I am 5'3 so im a bit on the shorter side which made me look even more heavier. Two months later I am down to 158lbs. ! My first goal is 140lbs and my main goal is 120lbs.
I am so much happier with myself which makes my babies happy cause now Mommy can get on the floor and play, and run around with out almost passing out! i was in a size 18! when I started this journey and now I fit very comfortably in a size 12!
I have been using MFP on my phone and tonight was the first night I logged onto the website and found this community! Your stories are so touching, motivating and uplifting! Thank you all for your stories!
Once I figure out how to work this site I will post pictures of before and after.

I'm right there with you, my ultimate goal weight is 120-but would be happy with 130. I need to post more and pictures and stick to the 1200 calorie diet...that has been a tough one for me. I have been close with my 1300, and I have been busting my butt with Turbo Fire and afternoons at the gym. Good luck....I am certain we can do this!!!0

I started with the phone app too, for many months, but when I finally stumbled onto the actual site--MIND BLOWN. I love it here. Welcome, and great progress so far! :happy:0
