30 Day Shred question

I'm thinking about starting the 30DS but had a quick question.
I always thought that for strength training we shouldn't work the same muscle group back to back and that it was necessary to let the muscles rest for at least 24-48 hours before working the same muscle group again.
But with 30DS I noticed you work the same muscles every day.
I've seen many before/after pictures on the 30ds threads so obviously it's working for many..
So which is it? Is it ok to work the same muscles every day or is it better to do it every other day?

i did 30ds didnt really get on with it but i enjoyed level 2 and im guessing because the curcuits are so short and strength comprises of 1.30minute each strangth move only once each level in a burst of 45 seconds and then a differant one 45seconds back to first it doesnt really apply to strength training the same way a trip to gym and working weights would0

Idid it most every day, had to take a few days here and there for soreness, but for the most part I bumped up my protein uptake and was able to do it everyday without the muscles being hurt...sore, but not hurt. I think it is enough cardio that you can do it daily. It's not like straight strenth training0

I don't think it's ideal to work the same muscles every day but with the shred you're not doing intensive strength training. I use 5lb hand-weights and I think that's a good starting point; many of the strength exercises would seem dangerous with much more than 10 pounders I'd think. Another option to consider is rotating the different levels daily. That way you're not doing the exact same exercises each day.
All that being said, I absolutely love the shred! I see a marked difference in my body (especially my waist and thighs) and I feel really strong. After a couple of weeks I was able to do a real push-up--something I've never in my life accomplished. Good luck!0 -
What is a 30 day shred? I'm not familiar with this fitness method.0

thanks for all the input. Based on what I've read so far I'm gonna try to do it every day but will take a break if I need to..0

Great idea to rotate the different levels daily, thanks christakins. I also read on some other forums that if you use heavier weights during the Shred to only do every other day but if you're using lighter weights that every day is okay because it's more "muscle endurance" than true strength training.0
