😀 Welcome all new first timers to this challenge and "Hello again" to those returning for another month, another year, another round. 😀
I joined back in September of 2021, which was my first month back on MFP. In the first 9 months, I lost 40 pounds and use this challenge as motivation to stay on track. It is nice to have a medium-term goal that gets broken down into manageable chunks.
Pick your own goal, check in once per week, and at the very end of the month. Let's keep encouraging each other & staying focused on our individual goals.
You can change the dates to suit you, but try to keep it weekly as it shows off the weekly progress better😀
Pick whatever unit suits you -- lbs, kg’s or stones.
Feel free to copy & paste the chart:

For those unsure how to do your weekly weight input:
When you want to do your weekly update do a search for your original post, copy and paste as a new post in the add post box then you can edit in your new weekly weight. A lot of people also maintain their post in a notes application on their device and just cut and paste into a new post.
It’s not a race go at your on pace, imagine where you could be in 6 months time!😀
Best of luck to everyone - have fun! 😀😀

I'm having slow-but-steady loss using intermittent fasting with Gin Stephens' "Fast Feast Repeat". It feels like that helps me solidify my gradual losses and keep from gaining again. I'm very happy with this lifestyle and don't feel deprived.
Let's have a good month of health, no matter what program each of us may be following!2 -

05/01-185.4-(Trend Weight 182.3)- This is my birthday month and the best gift I can give myself is the gift of health. I’ll be working on keeping my carbs low enough to keep my diabetes in check. I’ll be working on calories also to assist in much-needed weight loss. I hope to get back into the 170's this round even though my actual goal is always a 4 pound loss per month which would keep me in the low 180's for May. So, I will aim for the 4 lbs and hope for over 5.4 lbs. A foot injury put me on a path of weight gain but things are improving on that front so there are no excuses not to step up my game. I hope that the Northern Michigan weather will cooperate and I will be able to get outside more and get in more activity. If not, I will work on inside physical activity. Good luck everyone this round. We got this, my friends!

Life messed me up in April. But April showers bring May flowers, right? So, I’m hoping May will be my month to bloom! I’ve only been back on my path for 2 months, and I haven’t been able to settle into the routine. I am still waiting for my start date with the new telework job, but the job is supposed to allow leniency regarding my schedule. I’m hoping between getting the kids off to school until the end of May and time to log-in for work I’ll be able to get in some cardio and weight training. I’ll be pushing my personal trainer (aka hubby) to create a cohesive yet short and sweet training regiment for me. My feet and knees are getting worse, so I have to do something to get this weight off like yesterday!

🌸May Goals🌸
⚖️Lose 6 pounds this month. Usually I only shoot for a 4 pound weight loss per month. But I did so well in April, and I am soooo close to breaking out of the 300’s, that I’m going for it!
👣Walking: Increase steps from 500 to 525 daily
🏊♀️Water aerobics class 1 day a week
📖Read Bible daily
Celebrating! 🥳
I lost 8.6 pounds this month! 🤸 I actually lost more than that, if you count the 2-3 pounds of bloat I regained and lost several times, due to eating a few meals I shouldn’t have throughout the month. (gluten/high salt) I also started walking ¼ mile every day, 🚶♀️ and added a water aerobics class once a week to my exercise routine. 🏊♀️ So all-in-all, April was a great month.
Plans for the Week:
It seems like our cold weather is finally over with, 🤞 so I plan on getting some seeds planted in my garden.
April Reflection
I went back over my food journal for the last month, to try to figure out why I had good days and bad days when it came to my weight loss. I’m gluten intolerant, so I know that causes issues and wasn’t surprised to see the scale go up a few pounds, after eating something with it. I also noticed that the scale wants to stall or go up when I have a fruit heavy day as well. So while I’m not going to cut fruit out entirely, I am definitely going to cut back on it, and mainly stick with protein and veggies. Tracking my food daily has been invaluable in my weight loss journey, and has really helped me see where I need to make changes.
I have been staying on track with my exercise routine. I walk 500 steps a day, and recently added a once a week water aerobics class as well. I also joined a gym membership too, but haven’t been able to use it yet, due to spring allergies knocking me on my butt. 🤧 While that may not seem like a lot, for me it is almost unbelievable. Just 3 short months ago when I started my weight loss journey, I couldn’t even walk from one room of my home to another (and they are small rooms!) without losing my breath, getting dizzy, and almost passing out. So I thank God every day for my strength and endurance coming back, slowly but surely.
