Hi my name is Janet I'm 61 from the St. Louis area. I was on My Fitness Pal 10 years ago and I've try so many different diets with no changes so I've come back. I'm determined to take off that 50 pounds to become a healthy me.

Hi Janet! I'm Lisa, I'm 61 as well. I've lost 7.5 pounds and two inches off my waist, MFP is my fuel.
Start keeping a food diary/tracking, I've found it immensely helpful.
You can do this!0 -
Just started today as well, I’m looking at 25 lbs to release! We can do this! Good luck!0

Lots of 60-plus folks succeed here. You can, too.
I was class 1 obese back in 2015, age 59, having been overweight to obese for literal decades. By early 2016, I was in a healthy weight range. I've been at a healthy weight since, now 68. MFP was perfect for me.
I'm not a special magical unicorn. I'm pretty much a hedonistic aging hippie flake, with an extremely limited supply of motivation, willpower or discipline. If I can succeed, betcha others can, too . . . such as you.
I'm cheering for you: In my experience, the improved quality of life is worth the effort!0
