Improving health and body appearance - what about the rest o

So we're all losing weight to improve our health and it seems many on here want to look better as well (fit into your goal jeans, etc.). What about the rest of your body though. Has weight loss inspired you to take better care of your skin? Do you now get pedicures because you want pretty feet to go with your new physique? Getting a new hairdo?
I started using Retinol (the pure stuff, not the Pro Retinol) in my face, I do my nails every other day now, pedicure weekly - never done much of that before. Feeling like I'm doing something good for my body, so why not doing something good for my face as well, take care of myself, pamper myself (which sort of has replaced the urge to snack on Doritos)
Anyone else feel that way?

I had hair done and a french manicure, I also got the make-up bag out and wore some to work. I had so many compliments
really does boost you up.:happy:0 -
I actually paint my nails now.. not sure where this came from, I am about the least girly girl you could imagine!0

Excactly! Gives you a boost!
I used to think "Oh, why bother? I'm fat anyway!"NO MORE!
Love French manicure! Looks so crisp and clean. I do them myself (Sally Hansen Hard As Nails French Tip Set), every other day. It's relaxing and makes me feel good everything I look at my fingers, which are getting more and more slender!0 -
I take better care of my skin now, with all the exercise think cleansing, toning and moisturising is more important than ever, not a good look to sweat your make up off! I paint my nails more too, its a good distraction in the evenings when I am tempted to snack.0

and i if i may add my two cents worth.
to me it doesnt matter how much (or how little) make up a woman wears. it is all about how she feels inside. it is REALLY about learning to love yourself again. not vain, but a healthy love for yourself.
when you get that "glow" back inside, doing the things that you mentioned make you feel good, barbecue you see how beautiful and wonderful you are! and truth be told, if people dont see how awesome you are - honestly, you dont need them in your life.
life is to short to waste it on negative people. and i am glad to see that you have found you again, and have fallen back in love with yourself. it will get much better from here!
add to that, getting a stare, smile, or a new conversation DOES make you feel good. heck yeah! but it is all about the heart! when your heart loves you, you can love. and you are OBVIOUSLY doing just that.
keep up the GREAT work!
