I'm in a LDR...
So this last year my sig other flew up here, armed with a Tiffany bracelet and necklace. Stayed for a week. Special ordered me a cake.

What was the best thing you got for your birthday and why?
I was waiting for this to be about someones period! haha
it wasnt for my birthday...just a random gift from my BF. While we were in Arizona I dropped my digital camera and broke it. this was about 8-9 months ago. A handful of times since then I had mentioned how I was bummed about it and will have to get another one soon ( but never get around to it ).
2 weeks ago I got to his house and there was a small box wrapped in pink with my name on it. Opened it up and it was a new digital camera. I didnt love the gift becasue it was something expensive and flashy, I loved the gift becasue he had LISTENED and remebered that I really wanted one, and knows how much I love to take/have pictures.0 -

Anyway, my best birthday present was probably being taken shopping by my man, and basically trying on item after item in the changing rooms while he browsed the shop looking for things he thought I might like or look good in. I still have several items from that trip, and it was 10 years ago!0 -
Probably this year... my boyfriend is taking me to Cancun for my 22nd birthday!

Being able to sleep in as late as I want to, and have hubby cook breakfast. Might not seem like much, but hubby works a swing-shift job, isn't home much to help me take care of the boys in the morning. Heaven!:happy:0

My husband (in his 60's) went to all the trouble of making a scavenger hunt where he even invented questions that have the hint to the next place I have to look and at each stop there was a "part" of the gift, batteries, I-tune gift card, case, and at the last stop an MP3 player that also gets radio and TV stations......... with flowers. I was running all over our property, *****ing and whining about how I am too old for this, just to keep him chuckling to himself, but I sure appreciated the effort and loved his originality....I still have the slips of the scavenger hunt with the questions on them, They are the best part of the presents.0

The birth of my baby girls! I have a January birthday and my oldest daughter was born in December 2007 and then 2 years later my youngest was born in December of 2009!! Don't ask how that happened bc I don't know, LoL!!! Early birthday gifts and absolutely nothing could ever top my baby girls 0

I thought my birthday gift was a computer so after I received it I started to play with it then I changed into my Winnie the Pooh flannels ( it was winter.. they are warm.. don't judge me! lol) . Once I returned and started to play on the computer again my boyfriend then proceeded to go to his pocket a give me another gift.... a ring!!!! He proposed on my birthday!0

My trust when I turned 25. It was pretty much the best thing my parents ever did for me. My 2nd favourite b-day gift was my first car. I got to learn what freedom really was. lol But best thing I've received from a friend for my b-day? That would have to be the Hitachi Magic Wand. :P0

If you are trying to get ideas for your friends b-day you may want to specify that in the OP.
Cause Im pretty sure you arent going to get her a baby although if I see you on the news tonight involved in a kidnapping it would be awesome to turn you in for the reward.
Or a car - if so I would like to plead my case for being your best friend. Again unless the car was jacked - then I can still turn you in for the reward.0 -

Well I wanted to hear girl's best gifts in hope of getting ideas, people giving ideas for birthday presents normally give a generic idea, and on the other hand their own experiences they give much more unique ideas 0
