Hello from the UK!

Hello everyone,

I'm a 40 year old female and I am interested in getting to know other females who are on a similar journey, preferably also from the UK.

I have been on my weight loss journey for around 4 months now. It's going well but I still have a lot more to lose.

    Hello everyone,

I'm a 40 year old female and I am interested in getting to know other females who are on a similar journey, preferably also from the UK.

You’re a female what, lizard, cat, bird? Okay, I’m going to nerd out for a second, but bear with me 🤓💕.

*Female is an adjective. An adjective is a word or phrase describing an attribute, added to or grammatically related to a noun to modify or describe it. So, “Female” is a biological and clinical description that doesn’t acknowledge anything except reproductive capabilities such as in animals.

*Woman is a noun. A noun is a person, place, or thing. The definition of a Woman refers to adult human females. This definition explicitly recognizes “human” as a co-requisite to being a woman. While many things can be female, only humans can have the status of “Woman.” This is acknowledging that a particular type of female has personality, dreams, thoughts and ideas— all the things that make humans, human. Aside from it being a noun and not an adjective.

*So, when people call women (n) females (adj) they’re literally removing women as humans and reducing them to a description of an animals or plants reproductive parts.

HOWEVER, if you are in fact a female (adj) Beluga Whale (n)- see what I did there, then apologies, and you’re welcome to disregard the previous comment. Also, HUGE fan of your brilliant social structure! Your fission-fusion dynamic is truly unique and a wonder among other species of toothed cetacean. But, if they’re telling you that you don’t need all that blubber, they’re lying and you’re gorgeous. But, huge welcome anyway! Female Whatever you may be 😆.

*fun facts, not to be taken harshly. That’s basically MFP in a nutshell anyway*

Hi, I'm Dawn, I'm female and 44 and living in the Midlands but I'm a New Zealander. To the person above I currently identify as an obese Kakapo but hoping to reconsider and identify as a thin woman in 6-9 months or so. Just restarting my journey after letting myself go a bit over Covid and since. I was doing so well too... but I know I can do this again. Since I started last week I've begun going to the gym on my days off and the pool once a week when they have free swim sessions at the leisure centre. I've already lost a small amount and I've upgraded my broken scale to a smart scale for £25 so I'm pretty happy about that - no chance of me being tempted to cheat when it goes straight onto my smartphone and updates MFP with every weigh in!
