            Can my goal not be just weight???
 My days ebb and flow w/work & stress.. My goal in May is just to get back to ME and create a plan that works
 AND NOT GAIN any more weight, if I can lose 1 lb this month & find a daily flow that works, I'll call it a win!4

 My name is Donna. I am 64 years old and I live in the Midwest of the US. I am 5’ 5” tall. My highest weight was 253 in 2016. My MFP start weight was 235 in 2018.
 Ultimate Goal Weight: 145-155 (I’ll know it when I get there!)

 05/12-185.4-(Trend Weight: 185.4)- We are driving out to a restaurant on Lake Huron today which is a bit of a drive. The water should be lovely because of our beautiful blue skies today and the Mother’s Day Buffet will be delish. I expect the scale will go up tomorrow but I can handle it. I’m going to wear sandals that I can remove and walk along the water’s edge. I have a house full of fresh flowers thanks to the kids. I feel so grateful and appreciated! Happy Mother’s Day everyone!
 05/17-DNW-(Trend Weight: DNW)- I am gaining weight a little more each day. I can see it on the scale when I step on, I see it in the mirror, I feel it in my clothes. It feels like dry forest with a huge wildfire burning out of control. Throwing buckets of water on it will never put it out. It’s going to take a more than that, a LOT more.

 I’m sure I won’t meet my May goal with only a little more than a week to go, but I am finally back on the right track. My test results from my physical were decent. The doctor is making some changes to my medications I’m not sure I agree with, but I’ll give it a shot. If I don’t like how I feel, I’ll go back… not a huge deal. I also have high cholesterol (hereditary), been on Crestor for awhile now, number is down by 100 but still a little high. He recommended exercise, of course. I’m working on it. Follow up in 6 months.
 Current goals:
 First, to lose enough weight to put my wedding ring back on by my anniversary at the end of July.
 Second, I have a follow up in 6 months with the doctor. My goal is to lose a minimum of 30 lbs by Nov 14. (It would be GREAT if I could be at my goal weight by then, but I’m going to give myself the grace I need.)

            So far 2024 has been my year. I am down -22.6 lbs and going back to Jan 2023 its -35.9. Lowest weight I've had since probably 2005 maybe. My goal is at least 37.5 more lbs hopefully. Shooting for 5.5 lbs this month. Have a great month everyone.

 Total loss for May: After some up and down, I'm about back where I started. I am still in my ideal maintenance range, and while I'm moving down, it's still towards the top. I'm almost exactly in the middle of my absolute range, and that's a win. I am down 8.9 pounds for the year.
 Stick to it!
 This is the reason I like to weigh daily and ignore the number. Even if I just looked at the one-day numbers from last week and this week, it would look like I gained, but that would not tell the whole story. I'm still on a downward trend, and it's leveling off near my target/goal weight.

 05/26-184.6-(Trend Weight: 186.4)- I know I belong back in the 170’s. I don’t deserve the 160’s yet, but the 170’s is where my true home is (for now). I’ve just got to get back there! I’ve been feeling pretty lost since February, but I think I’m back on the right path now. Not the perfect path, but the right path. Today is the family BBQ. I don’t expect that the scale will be a friendly place tomorrow but I will work on it hard this week. I don’t expect I will meet my goal this month. Especially when it was my birthday month, Mother’s Day and now the Memorial weekend Holiday. But I do want to end up with the scale lower than when I started so that is my mini goal this week. Memorial weekend unofficially marks the beginning of summer in the USA. Let’s do Summer strong!
