i'm normally done by august but i haven't even started this year. i started shopping yesterday for the boys' stocking stuffers - ski socks, hand and feet warmers, new gloves, ski boot bags. maybe some new under armor if i can find it on sale.

have you started christmas shopping yet? are you done? are you a wait-til-christmas-eve type of shopper?

I try to pick up things throught the year if I see something just right for someone.

Last week, I did get a little crazy and put up my Christmas tree. :) I just love it.

One year I got it done by July. Typically, I like to really get started the day after Thanksgiving. No, not because I like to camp out!! My DH and I usually head out after lunch time when the crowds have died down and find some great deals minus the crowds. I also do a lot of online shopping so it comes right to my door!

I have a 9year old and a two year old and suppose starting with the stocking fillers is a good idea x

    Done and wrapped mostly.

This is a great time of year, cause the summer stuffs going on sale, gardening, automobile things, bbq stuff, etc.

I also pick up stuff after christmas, when all that stuffs super-cheap, wrap it and put it in the closet for next year.

If you do that after holidays/seasons all year around, you get things for like 75%-90% off, and can pick up a few more things. Come Christmas you don't have to spend anything, and it seems like you have more money.

I also buy things off eBay all year, which is always really cheap. Sometimes it's from china or whatever, so I make sure to order at least a month in advance.

I'm pretty serious when it comes to shoppin...

I've had Christmas presents in my closet since about April, I think...I raid the Clearance stuff at Target for my kids & get smokin' deals. I got this Star Wars toy for my son that was ordinarily $30 for $8...I am down with saving $22 on a cool toy, LOL! I just keep my eyes open for stuff that goes on sale. And of course, I'm out on Black Friday...speaking of which, I thought I would throw this out there. Last year, I wanted to get my daughter one of those Paper Jamz guitars & Wal-Mart had a set that included the guitar, an amp & a strap on sale for $29 on Black Friday. I grabbed it @ midnight; but put it back b/c I thought it was still a little pricey. I went back out on Black Friday around 5pm & found that Wal-Mart had marked those down to $13...so if you go out on Black Friday; you might get slightly better deals on some stuff later in the day.

I can't shop to early because I end up giving it to the person it's for. I'm not good keeping surprises!! I'm looking around for stuff now, but my "official" Christmas shopping starts Black Friday...then it's on from there!!

As a guy, I am forbidden by DNA to shop for anything before December 15th, and waiting until December 20th is encouraged.

After being out of work for a year, and finally working full time, Im playing catch-up with bills and getting my savings back.

Normally though I would be done by August and have everything wrapped by September.

This year, is our first Christmas without my daughter as she moved out two months ago.... This will be very weird to me.

More than likely it will be a few gifts under the tree between my husband and I... we always have a list of people we like to purchase something for them... Mostly though, I do a MAD BAKING in the kitchen - drives my husband NUTS with all the goodies I bake! LOL! That is so much fun! When its all packed, I go out and deliver the baked goods!
