Hi, everyone!
I'm starting back up again with MFP after a recent health scare. I'm here mainly to track my calories and movement and try to stay focused on my health. I'm very active but eat too much! I typically walk at least 5 miles per day and more on weekends when I hike.
I am just recovering from 2 weeks with pneumonia (and very low potassium resulting from other issues I hadn't addressed because I was too busy). Basically my body went completely haywire in response to prolonged stress at work and my failure to put my health first. (And pneumonia I probably got from a student, but I feel like it's really weird that I picked it up.) So, here I am hoping tracking will help me develop sustainable good habits. I really feel like I'm starting fresh because I could hardly eat for nearly 2 weeks and have been really thoughtful about the food I eat now given my low potassium and high glucose. I don't want diabetes, I don't want to be exhausted and weak, and I want to be able to move better when my body is under attack.
Hope you all are doing great! Congratulations on being here.
Warmly,
Sarah

Welcome, Sarah! Oh man. I can totally relate to picking up illnesses in the workplace. I'm in a library so a bit of a similar situation. So sorry to hear that you were dealing with so much stress! I hope that it's calmed down for you somewhat. Tossing you an add if you want to encourage one another along our fitness journeys!2
