Hello, I've been on this journey my whole life. From being put into a weight loss program at age 8 to losing a baby at 48 to entering the end stages of menopause.
I've gained 25 lbs with menopause. I'm just here to say hi, and try to track my calories...again ..and hopefully kick myself in gear... again.

Lower back and outer hips have gotten into the game too. 🙄 Pain, pain, pain.

Nice to meet all

Hi Angmarjon. I just started back today too. Not exactly the same story as you...I've always had a battle with my weight but was able to stay no more than 10-15 pounds overweight until I hit 55-60. I'm now 74 and with the years have come the weight. Long term I'm trying to lose about 45 pounds. That will still put me at 10 pounds over my "suggested" weight, but I think I'll be satisfied with it. Good luck on your journey!

Welcome! I'm 48 and have been in the weight loss struggle for decades. I am trying to lose 30 *more* pounds. I will still be above my ideal weight according to the "rules," but I don't care. My goal is healthy, strong, and confident.

    Hi everyone!
I am coming back also. I am back and forth because I need to find the time to track all my food.
Like Hooligan, I have been able to stay within 10 lbs of my weight until I hit menopause and the weight just seemed to pack right on.

Oct 2020 I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, which is a plasma cancer. It is treatable but not curable. The treatments through me into menopause plus increased my weight from the steroids. In Nov 2021, I had a stem cell transplant and have been in remission since. The medication for my maintenance made me very sick and fatigue. So I was fighting all that with all the extra weight I gained. The doctor just took me off all my meds and after a few months I am starting to feel myself again. I am still struggling with the pain in my knees and back, but I am hoping that will go away with the weight.

Right now I am just trying to eat right and walk my dog. It is a slow go, but I am getting there.

    Good luck to everyone!

    Kim
