Rewarding Milestones on a Budget

Earlier this year when I would hit mini goals I would buy myself something. Now cash is a little tight and I really want to reward my progress. Anyone have good ideas for rewarding yourself for $0-$10?

I'm thinking a homemade beauty day. That's my start. What else do you have?

How about special time to yourself. (Do you have kids? might need to swap childcare with a friend) Hours on end to read a book; Or how about girl's night in for movies?

No kids but I have a fiance, does that count?

But seriously, a girls' night in does sound like fun just as long as we avoid wine and baking.
  • I've made myself a necklace. You can buy european beads on amazon and they are in alot of stores now. I've got one close to me that sales them for 6.99 and they are a nicer quality you can get them for less and if you buy on amazon you do have the shiping so sometimes its better to buy in bulk to save on shipping so that may hinder it. I do 1 bead for every 5lbs lost, a special marked bead for when I hit 25lbs lost. I'm looking to get one for my first 5k walk. It does add up but I can do 6.99 at one time and I love them I don't ever wear jewlery but since I got this I've never taken it off. Except at night and in the shower, because one night it did come unclasped and I had to hunt for all the beads. It's also nice to have as a reminder when you are out to eat and before you ruin all your hard work with a bad choice or most people know that I'm doing it and what it's for and they come up to check for new beads. It's real motivating to know so many are interested and keeps me going so I don't go to long before achieving the next one.

I was just thinking about a beauty day... I got this cool nail polish from avon, the top coat is a 'mosaic effect' black that as it dries it cracks in spots... just tried it out today, and I LOVE it, looks professionally done :) just as a thought! I've also used some rewards as a pair of exercise pants or tank top from walmart cuz they are cheap...

Things I like - Fresh New Bottle of Nail Polish, New Tube of Lipstick and my favorite is New Bedroom Shoes from Dollar General for a whopping $3.00! Dollar General has the bedroom shoes in soft pink and soft blue with really thick soles. When you first put them on it is like your feet are on clouds. After a while they squish down but they are great while they last.

I've got pictures of it under my profile. I work super hard to get that next bead. It's kind of like winning a ribbon. lol. My little trophy and in years to come after my weight loss I will have a reminder of where I was and where I will never be again and will keep my butt in gear.

That's an awesome idea! LOVE it!
