adding friends through contacts

in Getting Started
When I try to add friends from my contacts it only shows a random numbers of contacts. And I can't add a friend because she doesn't show in the list. What to do?

    Was there any reply to this. 9 years later, and the issue is still there. I'd like to add my personal trainer.
