The explanation of how insulin works and how it promotes fat gain when you too much/wrong kinds of foods really helped me on my way when I first started. It got me to eat less refined carbs that's for sure! I liked it :)
  • Changed both my wife and my diet and way of life. I thought to myself, if Fathead debunks Super High Me, then I need to find information rebunking Fathead, which gave me tons of info on low carb diets. I truly believe Fathead and tell people to watch it. Now is low carb for everyone, I dont think so, but as with everyone I read about creating their own personal low carb diet. I have more energy, have lost more weight, dont feel hungry, and I personally enjoy meats, cheese and veggies.
  • I watched it soon after Super Size Me, so I really liked how it had an opposing viewpoint to that film. I also really liked how it showed that while carbs are not bad (such as the ones we get from fruits, vegetables, whole grains) the refined "white" carbs are a major contributor to weight gain and future health problems. It really opened my eyes to what was causing a lot of my past weight gain because I had never realized how many carbs were in some things. I don't do low carb by any means but I stay well within my macros, so I have seen a difference in weight loss. I really liked FatHead!

Yes, what he said! =) Plus he hasn't used antacids since we basically started our new way of life!

There's also lots of good info in it. He points out that some people could be insulin resistant.

Also, he actually goes through most of the movie eating cheeseburgers WITH the bun, and shows that you can lose weight, simply by keeping calories below maintenance.

Edit: Not only that, but he also mentions that saturated fat isn't the artery clogging monster that most people portray it to be. He proves this by consuming large quantities of fat, and comparing his lipid profiles.

I didn't like the way he tried to attack Super size me, which was a dumb movie in the first place. I guess he tried to use that angle so he could get a larger audience (seems to have worked).

To some people, refined CHO = evil crap.
