Hello, future brides and grooms!

I’m getting married in December 2024 and am on a mission to lose weight, tone up, and get in the best shape of my life for the big day. I’m looking to connect with others who are also getting married in December and want to join forces as accountability partners.

We can motivate each other, share our fitness and nutrition goals, and check in daily to stay on track. Whether you aim to shed a few pounds, build muscle, or feel your best, let’s do it together!

If you're interested in forming a supportive group to help each other reach our goals before we walk down the aisle, drop a comment below, and let’s start this journey together!

I am looking forward to connecting with you all!

Looks like I'll be a group of one for now, but I'm excited for others to join soon! Today was a good day—I stayed on track with clean eating, discovered Skyr (definitely getting more tomorrow), and started looking into the 20k steps a day challenge. I'll be posting my starting weight and measurements tomorrow. I've decided to be brave and take pictures, step on the scale, and record my measurements.

Great day today for me! I completed Day One of the 20K steps challenge, and I survived. I ate clean (aside from a few tastes while cooking), but I am proud of myself. Tomorrow will be even better!
I'm looking forward to seeing how my body changes after a week of this. I'm sure it will give me the motivation I need to keep going. I focused on protein today. Tomorrow I'll try to get in more water.

Good Morning! I saw your post and want to commend you for continuing to post until you get others joined! I'm turning 59 next month and have been on a weight loss journey this past year since I quit smoking in July '23. You go girl, and hit your goals! I'll try to check in on you to see how your doing! You'll be a beautiful bride no matter what!

Thanks so much, Stacie! I appreciate the support! I will keep posting; it's good discipline for me to keep it up! Congrats on giving up smoking! Wooo hoooo! You should join me in the 20K steps per day! (Or maybe less.) I KNOW the walking is effective. I am already noticing minor changes!

Today is the second day of the 20K challenge. I only got in 2 miles because I woke up (the second time) late, and I had to make my fiance's breakfast before he went to work. Since it was over 100 degrees most of the day, I jumped on the treadmill at about 4:30 and did the other 6! That took me to 20K, but I had to walk the dog, which put me over! I want to get in 5 miles in the morning and just to 3 at night. Maybe I can do 4 and 4... My eating was impeccable today! I know I can drink more water, but at least my calories are under. I may still drink a protein shake because I'm under calories, and I know I will get hungry. I need the protein anyway to recover from the walk. Well, I will continue to experiment and see how it goes. After my shower, that shake will seem like a tasty treat! Until tomorrow!

Hi @beautydoll - I first joined MFP years ago before
My wedding. Lost weight and fit into my gown!

    Godspeed!

Checking in again! I had to stop the 20K challenge, even though it was fun! I don't have enough time to get 8 miles of walking per day! I will aim for 12-15. I think that's reasonable, and I can fit it in. I am starting Dig Deeper today. I am incorporating the weights to help me tone. I got on the scale at a whopping all time high of 162.4, so I have 20 lbs to lose before the wedding in December. That is precisely 100 days right now, so I have to be committed! I once did a challenge with a group on MFP - we did Insanity, and we started big but dropped to about 10. It was fun, and I didn't want to drop out or let the group down! I would love to have that support and accountability again, but if I can't do it for myself... oh well! Onward onward!

Day 4 of Dig Deeper has been completed! I think I need to work harder tomorrow! It's not even an hour long, so I can definitely work harder. I like doing it super early, and maybe I will be able to get in a 3-mile walk tonight. That may be the combination I need to drop some weight. I hope to be down 5 lbs this month, even if I gain muscle, but this fat has got to go! I wonder where I can get one of those fitness scans.

It's been a while but I'm checking in because I am! LOL! I am intermittent fasting and eating super clean! I am excited about looking as good as I can for my day so I am not wasting any days! I probably should post daily to keep myself accountable. I am done eating for the day but I certainly need to get in more water. Tonight I'll have some tea and maybe treat myself to a bubble bath! Why not?

I'm doing very well on IF, but that Keto flu has me! I will work out tonight, maybe walking, but I will also bathe with some Epsom salt. I hear that helps with the keto flu-like symptoms! I see small changes. I'm looking forward to dropping some lbs. My last weigh-in was 158.9. I would love to be 136-140! I would be ok at 145 for the wedding. That's only 8 weeks and 5 days!

Doing exceptionally well on IF and Keto. Need more ideas for KETO-friendly carbs. Energy has been chiefly down - I guess that's Keto Flu.

I look forward to seeing how much weight I lose and how different my body will look for the wedding and beyond.

9 lbs down! I am elated and motivated to do even more! Now, I have to be sure not to self-sabotage myself! Day by day!

Hi! I'm not a December bride - actually August of 2025.... but I'm also working to build muscle, loose fat and get into "the best shape of my life" for my wedding! I know its not easy so I'm trying to give myself a lot of time to do so.

I'm also working on my step count and hit an average of 10k steps a day - consistency is key and this has been mostly sustainable for me. I also run 1-1.5 hours a week and lift weights for 2 hours! so I think I've got the right amount of exercise. My next big hurdle is tuning in my diet and holding my self accountable calorie-wise.

Trying to hit 100-130 g protein, hit my 25g of fiber and stay under 1,720 calories daily.

WOOOO HOOO, company!!! It's hard getting in that much protein. I'm struggling to hit the calories even at this point. I didn't start eating until noon today, and I had to drink a shake at 5 p.m. to make sure I had more. I have to travel over the next few days, and I will be very focused!

My wedding is in 58 days! Are you excited? Did you pick your dress?
