Why is fitbit reporting exercise calories to myfitnesspal in the morning when they are not yet earne

I have negative calorie adjustment set on myfitnesspal and I have always gotten less exercise calories when waking because fitbit assumed I wouldn't get as much - no problem - I am good with that. However, now when I wake up, my calories are greatly increased and I have done nothing to earn them. I am quite upset about this, because I like to have calories added as I exercise not before. I have noticed by end of day that the exercise calories will reduce a bit, but I can't gauge my intake on calories that appear and then disappear.

Several other people have recently mentioned this. It appears to be a technical problem on the Fitbit side and they are apparently trying to resolve it.

If you've been consistently logging for a while, you will likely be able to deduce a count that's close enough until the glitch is fixed. Good luck

Even some of us who have been logging for years.

Including logging on other sites we may have transitioned to where normally integration has been traditionally more solid.... are having the same issue.

Driving nuts is a correct description. Esp when it appears to work for a bit. And then it stops working. Or randomly throws a number.

Google is not increasing my confidence in Fitbit.... or maybe that's their cunning plan: another Google service to go out of their way to shut down!🤔

.... then again it's not like I'm shoveling explicit cash their way....
