Just some reassurance plz

Hi everyone. So I've been using this app for about 3 months now. I reached my target about 2 weeks ago and I've also lost more to date. I was originally on 1200pd for about 6 weeks, then increased to 1600 pd after gaining some very good knowledge from members on here, and now because I wish to maintain my weight it's gone right up to 2160 pd, i dont always hit that tho. On wednesday i weighed in at 10st exactly, today I'm 10st 2lb. I'm just wondering if this is something that happens once the calories increase and wether it will settle down, or will I now continue to gain weight quickly. Thanks everyone

It could be water weight from increasing your calories suddenly. Try one more week and see if it has settled or if you've gone up more. If you go up more this coming week, try lowering your calories by maybe 250.1

There is a "Maintaining" section in the forums with Most Helpful posts at the top. I'd highly suggest reading those and any other threads in that section.
I've been at my goal weight for 17 years after losing 80ish pounds.
Your weight will fluctuate. Give yourself a range. I use five pounds, because that is a normal amount for me.
The first year after weight loss is a little like a tightrope, but you'll get in a rhythm. Two weeks is still very new. I gained pretty easily in that first year when I decided I didn't need to log food anymore ...but you know what to do! Just give it time.1 -

If you suddenly increase the carbs that you are eating, you will gain water weight. Beyond that, weight fluctuates all the time, depending on how much water you retain due to exercise or salt intake, plus waste in your system. Most of us who are maintaining have a 5 lb. window that is acceptable. When weight goes over the top number, we cut back on what we are eating. If it gets down to the lower end, we eat a bit more. I've been maintaining between 120-125 for over 10 years.1

Your body is made up of so much more than just fat. A 2lb increase could be food sitting in your intestines, could be a shift in the amount of water in your body, etc. Your preferred weight should be a RANGE (like 145-150), not a single number.1
