@five678, how fast did you tell MFP you wanted to lose, and how much do you weigh now?

1200 is the lowest calorie goal MFP will give a woman, and it's too low for many women who get it because they request an aggressive loss rate. Generally, 1200 is only suitable for women who are petite, quite inactive, and older.

If that's not you, consider picking a slower (more achievable) loss rate so you get more calories. Even if 1200 is right for you, it can sometimes help to start with a higher goal, then reduce calories gradually over a small number of weeks.

Beyond that, pay attention to which foods at what times of day do the best job keeping you full and happy. Which and when tends to be individual. Many people will feel more full eating mostly so-called whole foods like lean meat, fish/seafood, veggies, fruits, whole grains. If you're eating a lot of highly processed or refined foods now, gradually shifting to a higher proportion of whole foods might be worth a try.

    Best wishes!
