Does anyone have any good tips on bloating and inflammation?

What kind of bloating? Air? Unable to poop? If the former then you need to figure out what causes it. Use your diary, observe what happens when you eat certain food and how fast thereafter. Then narrow it down to certain food items and avoid them. It's not a quick process, but as air might be caused by a multitude of things, and might be different for everyone it's the only thing that gives certainty.1

You might want to consult your doctor. I had a friend who had irritable bowel syndrome with bloating all his life. He was finally diagnosed with a fodmap intolerance to alliums using a breath test at age 38. There are apparently a variety of fodmap intolerances (sugar types that do not get digested properly). My friend since cutting out the offending sugar types (garlic and onions in his case) has become symptom free.1

If it's inflammation, you need to find the source and avoid it. I identified my issue foods doing multiple rounds of Whole30, an elimination diet which excludes the most common sources of inflammation for 30 days then reintroduces them in a controlled manner to identify which causes you issues. It is also worth speaking to your healthcare provider if inflammation is a concern.2

Sure, consume less carbs and more animal protein and both bloating and inflammation comes down, a lot.2

I'm gonna 2nd @Alatariel75! If it's inflammation, you'll have to find the source and then try to avoid it.
For me, my eczema never cleared up - I did a patch test and found out I was allergic to nickel. I started avoiding nickel-heavy foods and it helped SO much with inflammation and exhaustion.
I would do what the users above mentioned, trying elimination diets. Some people get more bloated with carbs, some with animal protein (I get bloated with too much animal protein and dairy)...

Random, but I’m going through a bout right now that came on quickly, as a result of travel tummy that turned into reactive arthritis.
Sudden onset, swollen and inflamed joints, and residual bloating from the other, probably resulting from eating fruit or fresh juice, washed in water local to where I was.
You don’t indicate if this has been building up over time or came on quickly.
Just a thought.

Well, certain foods like dairy and high-FODMAP veggies caused flare-up. So cutting them out made a big difference. Digestive enzymes before meals also seemed to help me, especially when eating out and not being in full control of ingredients. If bloating is persistent, it may be about SIBO. My general practitioner is a big proponent of functional medicine.
Interesting that one of the triggers is food poisoning. We certainly came home with something akin to that on our visit to Uzbekistan, which seemed to have triggered the whole mess, from eye issues right down to foot issues.
However, it’s passed now, and giving up the sugar free at the Dietician’s suggestion has made a world of difference.
Trying to get the husband to go that route now, but having been in the soft drink industry for decades, and being conditioned to a fountain in every breakroom, he’s kicking and screaming about giving up diet drinks. Oh well, at least they’re not full sugar anymore. 🤷🏻♀️
His retirement plan came with diabetes.1
