Yeah, in that first year after weight loss I struggled a bit with a few extra pounds gained. It took me a while to really settle in to a calorie goal and I think it probably took my body a while to settle into its new weight too.
You know what to do! It's just an annoying setback. In my case I lost that weight for the second time (grrr) and vowed to not let that happen again.
I lost 80 pounds many years ago and I've kept it off. You can too. My one piece of advice would be to not roll into the party season without a plan.1 -
You KNOW what to do. You KNOW how you felt when you lost it. And while getting back into the habit of controlling you intake and possibly relaxing efforts is sometimes hard to restart, the benefits and results will always get you back to feeling good about why you do it. You have to feel it's more important to lose that 10lbs again because no matter what anyone may say, it's still your desire that's going to make that happen or not.

You know how to lose weight. Now you need to develop strategies to keep the weight off.
Ways might be
* eat food you enjoy eating instead of eating diet food that you'll stop eating once at goal weight
* develop interest in other foods that you can imagine continue eating
* learn how much food you need
* find some exercise you enjoy doing. Can be anything, really, including dancing while vacuuming your place
* develop interests when in downtime instead of watching tv and snacking next to it
* etc0 -
I have two questions for you. You don't need to answer here, just think about the answers because they will help you going forward.
First, what did you do to lose the sixty pounds? You can do that again, or you can make some small changes to make the process more enjoyable.
Second, what did you do after you lost the sixty pounds that you now need to lose some again? Identifying this will help keep you from repeating it.
I also will offer that many of us (most of us) who have lost weight and maintained our loss have had departures from the program. I'm at the tail end of just such a departure myself. I bumped up over the summer and pretended it wasn't happening. So I'm back on track again. You can do it too.
I will echo something that @cmriverside wrote; have a plan in place before the food-centric holidays are upon us because... oh *kitten*, they are upon us. This gives you plenty of time to practice and be able to follow your plan. Success awaits! Stick to it!1 -
