Exciting and would be interested to hear what you explore.
I don't have one but would maybe try the pre-made humbau (sp?)
And maybe apple with cinnamon2 -
I'll look that up! Thanks:D0

Dumplings! I love steamed baby carrots… so sweet. Bao buns. Steamed shrimp.
Also look forward to your dishes!2 -
I thought about trying to make Gyoza dumplings at home!
Well, I have a bit more time to gather ideas. I received my steamer and it's cheap black plastic and contains PFAS (which I had to look up, and it doesn't sound good!) So I'm going to return it, and try to find a glass one or stainless steel!1 -
Nods, and think at risk of chemical leach when heated... good call.2

Homemade tamales are excellent, and there are many diverse recipes on the web, and they can be filled with almost anything that tastes good with cornmeal. They're kind of a lot of work, though. I've done tamales as a big batch and frozen them to cook later (with the caveat that the fillings need to be things that freeze well).1

I found a book with entirely steamed foods, and I'll get to steaming after Thanksgiving!😁0
