Adding methods and also serving sizes

Hi there.
I’m new to this so wondering if you can add the method to recipes that you create yourself?
Also, when creating a recipe serves 4, you add 1/4 for your daily tally? I’m just a bit confused as some are showing per serve once I’ve saved that recipe?
Many thanks for your help.

When you made the recipe you set the number of servings. When you laid out the items in it you should be listing all the weight of what you put in like 1lb chick, 1 cup chopped onion... when you set the number of servings it will devide it up and set the per serving. If the cook is 1 serving just set that and they will be the same. I cook pots of 4 to 6 and divide them up for food all week.
    "Method" ?

There used to be a button for adding method (instructions), but it was for some contemplated future feature that apparently was never implemented. After discovering I couldn't retrieve the method I had spent time inputting, I never used it again, and I haven't seen that option lately, so I assume it's been abandoned.

The only work-around I can think of is to put the method in the "notes" section of your diary the first time you log it, and to note in the name of the recipe the date where the method can be found. Personally, if I wanted to save the method, I'd do it somewhere I have long-term control over (like a Word or text file on my own computer), rather than trust MFP to continue making the "notes" section available.
